Were you asleep for 10 years while Dame tore up the league? That was kinda’ exciting.

What do you think about DC looking good hedging? I know one of your big concerns drafting him was that he was going to be purely a deep drop big on defense.

Double edged sword FAMS. Gotta look BIG picture. If you want to win Scoot to help us like I think he can for the next decade, he needs to get minutes down the stretch. If your more worried about a game in a 25 win season, sure sit ‘em.

Still think going against mobile bags will be a problem. He's been blown by a few times already this season. But his rim protection is elite. I just hope he won't get played off the floor by certain teams.

I think that's still a legitimate concern. He looked great last night but his main counterpart was Gobert and he won't really test Clingan's defense outside of the restricted area

need to see how Clingan does against AD, Jokic, Embiid, etc. and teams that don't appear to have as remedial an offense as Minny did

I cant believe anyone is concerned this team will start winning. The had two nights of their best play against a team playing two nights of their worst. It's welcome sight but more growth needed!

But who really cares? A throw away season is when your 20 year old PG is SUPPOSED to make mistakes.

Dame had many great moments but I can see why some fans never liked his Blazer teams or his style of play - being an ISO ball hog that played horrible defense.

Yes much of that was Olshey or Stotts or others fault, still the end product never got us seasons like we had with Drexler or Sheed.

It's not how the mistakes lead to losses this year that is the issue.

Its the correlation that a player making those types of mistakes never becomes a star, or even becomes an average starter.

Ok this is ridiculous, Minny smoked the defending champs, swept the Durant Suns, was in the WCF, and this year was a leader in the NBA in key offensive areas such as 3pt attempts as well as 3pt %.

You make it sound like they're a lottery team with a bad offense. Gobert also has been a monster in the regular season.

Now could Clingan get played off the court when a few other teams go small? Sure its possible, but theres also plenty of teams with Gobert/Jokic/KAT/Embiid/Nurk/Lopez/Zubac/ etc centers out there that play big minutes.

Typing too many words. Let a 20 year old PG loose. Gotta learn from his mistakes!

    Big question for Billups.

nobody besides him and Ayton want to see Ayton starting anymore.

Clingan fits the team and fits supposedly what Billups wants to do.

what's going to happen with that?

So should we let every 20 year old PG that makes mistakes play big minutes?

At a point NBA players need to earn their roles. Sharpe and Clingan have given us flashes. Rupert as well. They deserve the minutes they play.

I'm for letting Scoot play, but no we don't need to give him some huge startling level role when his play doesn't warrant it. That might actually be counter productive to both the team but also to his individual development.

Maybe he needs to learn there are consequences for making really bad mistakes; like sitting the last five minutes? That just might imprint better, so he'll focus more next time.
