That's a real thing RFK Jr. did.

Diseases are up for very obvious reasons, and it's not because of whatever stupid fucking Infowars-ass conspiracy theory you think it is.

Autism is "up" because our understanding of it has increased over the past 50 years and we can recognize it better and therefore diagnose it.

He did while working for different environmental organizations (jobs which he only got because of his last name). Besides, that was long before he turned into an antivax moron.

What issues? What issues won't they cover? What grand conspiracy are they complicit in?

Sounds like you're advocating against a multi-billion dollar industry while simultaneously voting for Republicans. The cognitive dissonance must be grating.

He's also sued and lost a lot of lawsuits, and some of the lawsuits he won weren't that he was right, but that he had First Amendment rights denied. At least one other case was only that his case could be heard when a lower court dismissed it outright.

He's clearly anti-vax. There's nothing tying things like autism to vaccines. And people have died because of the misinformation he's spread.

Kennedy pledged to stop all research into new drugs and infectious diseases. Anyone with ALS, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, cancer hoping for new treatment, guess you were too upset over price of eggs.

Isn't something wrong with our system when a drug company releases a product it knows will be harmful, but proceeds because they calculate they'll make more money than they lose in a lawsuit? And no one goes to prison over it? This happend with Vioxx as one example.

New serious risks are discovered in 20% of new drugs after approval, and there are major conflicts of interest between the regulators, pharmaceutical companies, and even the medical journals that review them.

Anytime a couple of kids get the measles it's major headlines, but you don't hear about kids suffering from side affects of the medical treatment itself. According to pharma's own trial, the mmr vaccine for example, 7.7% of kids who receieved the mmr vaccine got a rash and fever as a result of the vaccine itself. So the media gives you an extremely skewed story. https://clinicaltrials.gov/study/NCT02184572?tab=results

Healthy kids don't die from measles. Kids living in squalor with inadequte nutrition succum to infectious disease. Mortality and moribidity of infectious disease, for which there has never been any vaccine, has declined at the same rate as ones for which there is a vaccine. Yet all you hear is propaganda of how vaccines saved the world.

Health officials in 3rd world countries are actually lamenting how so much of the aid they get from western nations is in the form of vaccines, and not more fundamental things like food/sanitation.

RFK JR is trying to alleviate these problems getting rid of these conflicts of interest, holding corrupt companies accountable, and getting the population as a whole healthier again. And people are crying about it, because that's what they've been brainwashed to do.

Please stop being such a lemming.

Wait, let me get this straight. You are now arguing that there is something wrong with rich people and companies who break the law and should go to prison, but instead get a free pass?

Anyone who is upset that RFK JR wants to ban glycophospate is a fucking moron. I don't know how else to say it.

You guys think Trump and his minions are going to get a lot of things done over the next 4 years .... errrrrr dozen years if the fear mongers are correct since he's never going to give up power and will become our overlord and dictator. Seems like it will be hard to do a lot of this stuff from the golf course where he will spend a ton of his time. My guess is enough of the members of congress on the right will block a lot of the insanely stupid stuff he wants to do since they know he can't run again. He will install a lot of these public figures into positions and then those people will piss him off and he'll bring in new public names to take over, much like with Elon. Not nearly as much will happen as most people predict and like it was for the majority of his first term, he loves the thought of being in power much more than he actually likes to govern and be President. It will be a shit show and create a ton of face slapping moments but in the end the country will survive, we will continue to move forward and a democrat will probably be elected to the highest office in 2028.

A bunch of farmers who voted for Trump are going to be really pissed off about that one.

Not to mention the people whose prices of food are going to skyrocket.

I'm not necessarily opposed to banning glyphosate, but there are a whole host of changes that have to happen to produce the amount of food that we do without glyphosate. And I have no faith in the Trump administration to deal with any of those changes properly.

*Edit* This will raise the price and limit the availability of food while they are cutting Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)...

I wish you were correct but it sounds just like another Trump voter trying to rationalize their vote. Others call it "whistling past the graveyard"....but keep telling yourself whatever you need to in order to get through the day.....

I would be fine getting rid of all the dyes that are put in our food, similar to what Europe has banned. Not sure why we still even have all those.

RFK's appointment and his position make him the worst appointee so far, to me. And that is quite an accomplishment. If he messes with vaccines, which I have a hard time even wrapping my mind around, we are talking a generation of people (kids most importantly) who will endure illnesses for no reason. We will get SICKER, not healthier. He's a nutjob, and everyone with more than 10 brain cells knows this. Fix school lunches, dyes, processed foods, great. Vaccines and the more significant changes are what scare me. It would be great if Trump could appoint just one normal person to these roles.

I agree Trump has little interest in nurs and bolts of governing which is why Project 2025 lays out replacing civil servants with loyalists. Putting Christian nationalists like Hesgeth in key positions. Trump will have spotlight and they will implement agenda.
