It's very sad, but Chytil has to retire, and the Rangers need to push him in that direction for his own good, and for the good of the organization so they can use his cap money next summer. When a hit like that knocks you out, and I bet it will be for months again at best, it is time to step aside and retire for his own future in life. The Rangers were going nowhere this season anyway, and losing Chytil makes that even clearer. The team should be huge sellers at the trade DL, hope Chytil retires for the good of everyone, then regroup this summer and make some major core changing moves that are desperately needed, which was very clearly obvious to any fan who was paying attention and being real about the stale core after the loss to Florida.

Fox has a cap hit of $9.5 million of which I do not believe the Rangers would accept paying one cent of if they dealt him. Zac Jones has shown 0.00% ability of running an NHL PowerPlay at a high-level. Biggest moves I see are getting Miller out of here as soon as possible. Bringing back a solid, young, third line center along with a physical left-handed young defenseman with the size. You’re probably going to have to attach a prospect like Berard to get that done.
I was surprised when the Rangers resigned Chytil between cap issues and the likelihood of another upper body injury seemed risky but I would have to assume the Rangers medical staff cleared him. I agree they need a stay at home physical dman to replace Lindgren, another guy who should be gone. It's a crime that Mancini isn't playing.
