It would be nice to bring up a QB within. But the Ducks since Lanning has arrived has had teams that are national championship ready so it’s important to have an experienced QB. When you can get Heisman candidate QB’s through transfer you need to do it. My only concern is it might hinder their recruiting of top level high school Qb recruits.
Wisconsin fired their OC. Fickell announces coaching change Offensive coordinator Phil Longo relieved of his duties MADISON, Wis. – Wisconsin football head coach Luke Fickell announced a coaching change on Sunday. Offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Phil Longo has been relieved of his duties. "This morning, I informed Phil Longo that he will no longer serve as our offensive coordinator," said Fickell. "After continuing to evaluate the program, I decided we are not where we need to be and believe this decision is in the best interest of the team. I appreciate Phil's commitment to helping us build our program over the past two seasons and wish him well moving forward. This team still has a lot in front of us and I am committed to doing everything we can to close out this season with success." Longo ends his stint as Wisconsin offensive coordinator after 23 games. Longo arrived in Madison in January 2023 after four seasons leading the North Carolina Tar Heel offense. Longo spent two seasons as the offensive coordinator at Ole Miss prior to his time in Chapel Hill. Wisconsin, 5-5 on the season, heads to Lincoln, Neb., for a meeting with the Nebraska Cornhuskers on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. CT. https://uwbadgers.com/news/2024/11/17/football-xxxx.aspx
So I have been arguing with some SEC fans today... Looking closer at it. The SEC is a fucking ponzi scheme. They just shift around Strength of Schedule and prop each other up. Texas is ranked #3. They have the best record in the SEC at 9-1. They do not have a legit ranked win at this point in the season and they lost to Georgia. They're being propped up by the fact that they have the best record in the SEC. Alabama is ranked #7. They're 8-2 with losses to unranked Vandy and #10 Tennessee. Their best win is Georgia. That's their only current ranked win. Georgia is ranked #8. They're also 8-2 with losses to Bama and Ole Miss. Their best wins are Texas (who hasn't beaten anyone) and Tennessee (who has beaten Bama.) They also beat Clemson.... but the ACC sucks. Ole Miss is ranked #9. They're also 8-2 with losses to LSU and Kentucky (both unranked) now. Their best win is Georgia and their only ranked win. Tennessee is ranked #10. They're also 8-2 with losses to unranked Arkansas and #8 Georgia. Their best win is Bama and that's also their only ranked win. You just look at these teams and they all suck. They're all being propped up off of wins over each other, but none of them have really solid wins over a team like Ohio State.
Alabama absolutely throttled Wisconsin Texas slaughtered Michigan I mean, I agree that they just beat up on each other but the idea that they suck is a little far fetched
Who has Ohio State beat? Who has Penn State beat? Who has Indiana beat? This whole conversation gets pretty tricky if you go along with your logic path. Essentially all the top teams in the BiG are propped up off of beating what looks like a bunch of mediocre at best teams.
If we didn't have a single ranked team win right now like Texas, people would 100% be calling us bullshit.
I'm just exaggerating, but Georgia fans have been crowing about their #2 strength of schedule and it's a total sham.
My point is this: Penn State hasn’t beat anyone. Ohio State hasn’t beat anyone but Penn State (who hasn’t beaten anyone). And none of these elite teams play non-conference games against other elite teams So realistically we don’t know anything Other than the fact that when an SEC team plays a middling B10 team - they throttle them. So it’s hard for me to say the SEC sucks Alabama played Wiscy tougher than we did And Texas was about on par against Michigan than what we did So I don’t know how you can claim “all these teams suck”
I don't know how accurate this is, I got it from here, https://fbschedules.com/2025-oregon-football-schedule/ but it appears to match up with a Ducks site https://autzenzoo.com/posts/oregon-...le-known-and-confirmed-opponents-01hq4nh4qb7d. Ending the season with 3 straight road games is ridiculous, especially with 2 of them on the east coast. Also our biggest home game is Indiana. Not bad considering their season but Penn St or Michigan would have been better.
I thought the Beavs weren’t gonna be on the schedule. Also I don’t think they’d agree to playing at Autzen two years in a row.
