    Salary cap next season would go from this;
    36 Ayton
    32 Grant
    28 Simons
    13 Timelord
    12 Thybulle

    to this
    25 Rozier
    19 Duncan
    15 Stewart
    11 Vanderbilt
    11 Vincent

    So would save about 40million

Plus have more expiring movable contracts for trades next year. Stewart & Vanderbilt are the only ones that would go beyond next season.

You need to cut 3 people before pulling off a 5 for 2 swap.

Pistons have enough cap space to take on Simons in exhange for Tim Hardaway's expiring. They could pair him with Cade Cunningham in the backcourt.

I’m probably out of my mind but I wouldn’t trade RW for anything less than 1st rounder. “If” he stays healthy he’s a difference maker for championship level team

Totally agree, needs to be at least a decent first rounder. If he is healthy from now until the deadline Id think he is worth that.

if I’m being honest I don’t want to trade him at all! That said, I don’t have his medical records so I don’t know if he’s just been injury prone or if he’s got BRoy knees. Makes it easier for me to say I wouldn’t take less than a good 1st rounder for him because I don’t want him gone even then I’d be upset because I love his game. Maybe best big we’ve had in last 20 plus years.

He's like a quicker more athletic version of Brian Grant.

Hardaway starts at SF; Ivey starts at SG. They wouldn't be that interested in Simons, IMO

That time has passed. Ivey is better by himself and he's just getting started.

Even after Philly nailed the draft with McCain.

Rock and a hard place. They either go all in or blow it all up. What would it take to get them to give up McCain? Maxey will be back soon enough

After the trade that brought RWIII to Portland, there were several reports that he actually does have BRoy knees and it is just a matter of time until he is washed. I didn't see the reports, nor am I a doctor, so I do not know. He has also been unlucky with non-knee injuries too. With the emergence of Clingan I would move RWIII if a decent return could be had. He is a free agent at the same time as Simons and Ayton. Get any value possible.

They're already doing a 3 guard lineup. Hardaway averages 1.6 rebounds per game, and is old and probably not in their long term plans. I of course, have no idea who wants Simons, but I think we could find a team to take him in exchange for expirings.

I'm not sure what "having BRoy knees" means.

Does Timelord have bone on bone where all his meniscus has been completely removed from both of his knees as was Roy's eventual case? Did Timelord have multiple surgeries removing material on both knees all the way back to college like Roy did? Knee issues are an extremely common injury for NBA players, many players navigate them and are able to string together a long career, others sometimes have to retire.

BRoy played over 11,000 minutes in the NBA. Timelord has played 4,000. At the BRoy rate Timelord probably has just over 10 years left to play. Or he could have to retire next year, I don't think any of us have those details.

On the court Timelord looks excellent right now. Roy was a hobbled shell of himself his last year in Portland. So until we see Timelord play significantly change I'm going to assume his knees can continue at his current level. Of course the Blazer doctors need to do their due diligence - especially if we consider handing him another contract.

BlazerSurprise YouTube guys had a good idea about trading Ayton to the Hawks for Capela and Nance. They're contracts both expire.
