    Maybe the third appointment.

The first one goes to Steve Bannon.

The second goes to Nick Fuentes.

And here’s your WWE/WCW. You know what’s ironic about it is that I was watching the Vince McMahon documentary on Netflix last week. Vince mentioned how his good friend Trump likes to run his office like a WWE/WCW type event. (I think it’s on episode either 6 or 7.) After hearing that I’m not surprised by this.

The funny thing about this is, this is actually an improvement over Betsy DeVos.

Since department of education is to be eliminated doesn't matter who "leads" it.
Plenty of harm done to rule of law, national security, intelligence in all senses of the world, health from picks.

Well, I think when you build a myth around the glorification of individually wealthy people, often finding ways to get richer by finding loopholes in the law, and stop caring about cooperation, combine that with an increasingly large percentage of people who suffer from information overload and low-attention syndrome, then it's easy to see why government, legislators and judges would eventually be openly for sale. They're just selling it off in pieces right now, kind of like Richard Gere's character in "Pretty Woman."

Nah--let's go with David Otunga. Harvard-educated lawyer who's also a professional wrestler, actor, and reality TV star. Seems right up Trump's alley.

Apparently he can go back - he only resigned his current seat - he's been elected for a new term starting in January.

Dunno that he will, though, since that would mean the ethics report would be released...

Guessing there is something really bad on ethics report someone was going to leak.
Trump will find another unqualified sex offender.

I'm not sure he can go back, despite re-election. I read somewhere this goes to a special election now, which I'd guess he'd win. I'd have to look to confirm.

Still, I think this should be taken as a positive in that if Trump really felt he had a mandate and unlimited power, it shouldn't have mattered. He could have bullied GOP Senators into recess and put his poor nominees through. He didn't, though. There was concern about wasting political capital there from some sector.

And this means the spotlight now can be concentrated on some of his other questionable picks, beyond Hegseth and RFK Jr. Linda McMahon is getting examined after being sued in a sexual assault-type case filed last month. Noem and Gabbard also are getting extra heat that had been going to Gaetz.

For every one of these that step aside before the confirmation process, it becomes harder for Trump to flood the zone with bad picks and get some of them through just because Congress doesn't want to be mired in hearings and look like it's fighting the will of the electorate.

IMO, this is a good sign for democracy. There's still a pulse.

This whole Matt Gaetz saga is precisely why it was very tough for me to get emotionally invested in Trump 2024 being this doomsday scenario. He is far too dysfunctional for that. My prediction for the next 4 years is the Plane Ride from Hell.
