I have zero issue trading Fox for a major return. As I wrote, outside Lafreniere, Cuylle, Schneider, and maybe Trocheck I would be open to dealing any player for the right return. I would actually even be open to "taking a risk" in making a trade if I had no choice, because something needs to change as this core/team is not going anywhere as currently constructed, so why not take a smart risk/shot (that's where no balls Drury comes in though - so good luck).
It would shake things up, which is what this team needs unless Trouba can pull another helmet throwing motivational act out of his ass. The top dogs with the NTCs are too comfortable with getting pushed around and coming up short. I've thought the same thing about this team's construction Mel since the Tampa series which they were up 2-0 and had the lead in game 3 with multiple chances to put it away. GG had them so close but then the Bolts turned up the physicality and it was over. Tampa is another team that was full of flashy scoring regular season but unable to get it done until they signed goons like Maroon and grinders like Goodrow. Dallas has failed similarly, I don't know of any team that won the Cup without several physical players but I've watched dozens of Rangers squads think they could out quick and out finesse a slower but more physical defense oriented team and fail. Drury has been terrible relating his intentions to players he wants to move whether it was Goodrow or Trouba they're both seasoned vets who deserved more respect. Wasting time with Jonny B when there are other prospects including Rempe sitting in Hartford kinda flies in the face of making the Rangers grittier.
