for somebody the size of Clingan I'd imagine a 2 week evaluation for an MCL will turn into 3 weeks...or longer

 

Yeah, that’s a 6 week injury.

 

He got a good run, beat a team record, and will now "have to sit out" as the tank brigade rolls on... Cronin loves this I bet. He can now just work on his shots and FTs for the rest of the season!

 

For those that aren’t aware, a grade 2 mcl sprain is a partial tear. People who know things and like anchovies are telling the creator of forum game of the year that they are expecting 4-6 weeks. He’ll RICE and be ok-ish

 

Seriously with Clingan? It’s why I’m so hesitant to invest in someone that big

 

DC needs a signature move. Two, really, but let's start with one.

He did go down in the first quarter when somebody ran into his leg….. but the one that happened in the 3rd or 4th was the one that I believe is this injury. Had quite a few angles of it. Didn’t look major, but he definitely winced.

 

Yeah the one in the first half actually looked worse. But he hopped up and looked great out there. The second one you could really see his face react.

 

So Clingan injures his knee twice in the Houston game, the 2nd time he went back to the locker room and then returns to the bench but with a knee brace on.

But later in the game he checks into the game with a knee brace and plays 3 minutes???

Why the fuck is the training staff sending him into the game with a grade 2 MCL tear that will likely take 4-6 weeks to heal???

We may have dodged a bullet that he didn't reinjure it or have a Shaun Livingston possibly career ending injury or such. I can't for the life of me understand how this franchise medical staff sent him back into that game.

 

I've been saying this for a while, the Blazers are dumpster fires at every level: ownership; management; coaching; roster construction....dumpster fires. I guess I can add medical staff as another level on the list

 

….”Does THIS hurt? No…….How about THIS?…..No…..and THIS?…..No!…….

 

I think the thing is…..the overall majority of sports “fans” have never been in an athletic system…..on the field, court, bench or locker room.

Just don’t know how things works personality wise, chemistry wise…..simply team wise. Nico Batum told me once anytime the staff would ask how this feels or that feels, he’d answer and say whatever it took to get back out on the court.
