<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>SAN FRANCISCO (AP) -- The San Francisco Giants acquired Shea Hillenbrand from Toronto on Friday night, two days after the Blue Jays booted him from the team for clashing with management. The Giants sent reliever Jeremy Accardo to Toronto for Hillenbrand and reliever Vinnie Chulk, getting in Hillenbrand the every day first baseman they had been seeking before the trade deadline. Both players were expected to be in uniform for the Giants on Saturday against the San Diego Padres.Hillenbrand was designated for assignment during Wednesday's game after writing "play for yourself" on a board the Blue Jays use to post batting practice times. He later wrote the "ship was sinking" before manager John Gibbons challenged him to a fight during a team meeting.</div>http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/base...d.ap/index.htmlGood signing for the Giants. This'll help em take a spot in the playoffs.
Boo, I wanted him on the Twins. Until I realized, i'd rather have Punto than him.Giants won't win the division yet. The team who gets Mike Gonzalez from Pittsburgh will win the division (I did not steal that from Steve Phillips )

They should be trying to lock him up for another like 4 years. lol

He's 28 years old, which isn't old, but he's not Mr. Young and his value will go down each year from here on out.

He should be their closer for the next 5 years or so if not more. A couple prospects wont do the Pirates any good if they cant close out their games. Their goal is to be a successful team, not a AAA team for the rest of baseball.

I don't think their farm system is THAT impressive either, so they should add to it.
