Working under the assumption that you can easily make changes to the roster, who are your keepers, goners & don’t really cares?

    My keepers:
    Clingan
    Camera
    Avdija
    Rupert

    Goners
    Grant
    Ayton
    Simons
    Thybulle
    Williams

    Everyone else, don’t care.

Some have potential but inconsistent and not reliable. Stay or go, don’t care but don’t see them as foundation pieces.

The problem is that none of my keepers are stars, just seemingly solid role players (Rupert not yet but hopefully he gets there)

I would be dreadfully remiss if I didn’t also include Billups in my goner list.

Heck, maybe we start there and it might change my opinion of some of the don’t cares.

Gotta keep Sharpe and Scoot and see it through. No way around that. They will play different without all those vets and also with a new, competent coach.

My list would be identical. Maybe Banton and Henderson are worth a flier. The rest should be dealt.

Timelord is a great type of vet to keep.

Now if I can get a pick I trade him, that's worth more.

But if not I'd happily keep him here.

All the other vets can GTFO.

I'm not sure if we have keepers, when you adjust for contract (especially re-signing current good deals who will get expensive once they're UFAs).

I think we have a bunch of obvious overpaid goners (Ant, Ayton, Grant, Thybulle). Are Scoot, Clingan and Sharpe keepers? Perhaps, but they're just potential right now. Advija's declining contract is attractive. Williams is a relatively good deal if healthy, but can't be relied upon.

Bottom line, we hope to have a direction, but our potential needs to start performing.

Yeah, that's pretty much it. If it takes Sharpe to sweeten a deal so that somebody takes Ayton and/or Simons, then go for it.

One thing to note: I don't know if it's the extended minutes, but Toumani's already anemic offense has really gone in the toilet. And most unforgivably, he has one of the lowest layup % in the league.

Keepers: Sharpe, Camara, Clingan, Avdija and Henderson

Goners: Simons, Grant, Ayton, Williams III and Thybulle

Whatevers: Reath, Banton, Murray, Walker and Rupert

I like a lot of our whatevers but I think they could fetch value from the right GM that we wouldn't regret taking. I just don't think our keepers could get the kind of return that would justify their upside.
