It’s interesting that all your criticisms can be boiled down to the most generic, race/sex/gender phobia accusations. What do you think the odds actually are that every argument you’ve ever been in has been with a sexist/racist/misogynist or bigot? Seems the low odds of this don’t really lend themselves to a realistic assessment of the world around you. Yet here you are, day in and day out, fighting the good fight. When the only tool you have is a hammer every, problem must be a nail. And when the only tool you have is an unearned sense of moral superiority, every problem has to be a racist/sexist/nazi, etc.
I am under no illusions as to what this country is or isn't. Haven't been since my navy days. Hard for America to be great again when maybe, just maybe it has never been all that great to begin with (and what you and Beast regularly post would seem to be in agreement with that statement). But that doesn't mean I don't have ANY standards left. I did not support a man who incited a crowd into trying to (at the very least) hang the vice president, and who is a convicted felon and sex offender (all true, indisputable facts). I'm more worried about where we are going now than where we were 67 years ago. That's MY point. And yeah, since Election Day I'm am feeling very, very "fuck it, right?"

I like my opinions to be well formed and well considered. I agree that Israel is a country in the middle east with undue influence on US politics. I would not describe Israel as "an unbelievably evil little country... lurking in the background of nearly every horrible event." That's just the scheming merchant meme in text form.

It suggests they are inherently sheisty in business/domestic dealings and thats really the only context I’ve ever seen it used in. I said nothing of the sort. I criticized the government of a nation. It's pathetic, but not unexpected, how mind-numbingly stupid the discourse in this thread is. I don't know if it's more stupid to think this isn't relevant because "it happened 60 years ago", or that it's not worth talking about , but it IS worth talking about how it's not worth talking about. But they have endless energy to talk about every imagined slight that Trump commits.
The scheming merchant is everywhere and has been used for just about every antisemitic idea for the last 30 years. If you see anyone using it, you can bet that they think "Jews control the media/Hollywood/world." And that is why what you wrote toes the line. Antisemitism is rooted in the belief that Jews are behind an all powerful secret cabal to ruin the West via communism and degeneracy. Perhaps you didn't mean it, but saying Israel is "evil" and "lurking in the background of every horrible event" is a bit too on the nose. Besides, if you think you see Israel in the background of horrible events, it's just because it's actually the U.S. you are seeing. Israel is just along for the ride.

You seem to know more about the history of the scheming merchant meme than i do, so thats fine I’ll take your word for it. Not really the hill i’m trying to die on. You trying to thread a line between me and antisemitism through some non-associations to a meme I didn’t even use is far fetched at best though. And just plain dishonest at worst. Interesting theory. It takes some serious blindspots to arrive there though. I guess we disagree on the seating arrangements during the ride-along, but at least we agree on who’s in the car.

To come back around to the actual point I was trying to make: it's not exactly what you said, it's how you said it. I'm not expecting you to be versed in the history of antisemitic propaganda, and if you have been consuming conservative media for any amount of time, you've certainly been exposed to its dogwhistles. I'm just not seeing how a small country in the Middle East is pulling the strings on the largest and most powerful empire in the history of civilization, who could wipe said country off the map in a myriad of ways.
