If Portland can flip everything outside of Rui for an additional first, this is great work

These aren't the good vets you want in the locker room...

Learn to be one of the worst defenders in the NBA from Simons.

Learn to be one of the worst rebounders in the NBA from Grant.

Learn that getting your bag matters more than anything else from Ayton.

These are vets that could be salvageable if you had a good team built around them with good leaders. You don't want your young team learning from them.

Isn't it crazy folks think Ant has a bad contract when you look around the league at other contracts and the fact that he will be on a expring contract next year...some of these posters say the most cringe stuff and just spit out negative nonsense 24/7 like their angry at the world lol

The Spurs traded Derrick White and Dejounte Murray for a haul of picks. Then they got a draft pick for adding Barnes and signed CP3 for the minimum. I'd be ecstatic if those were the type of deals Cronin was doing. If you think that's similar to paying Ayton the max or Grant $160 million - again not sure what to tell you.

Not being a homer but this guy should be a starter in this league and I would seriously consider a trade for him to become our starting point. Great shooter, does good job running offense maybe a defensive liability but not because of effort.

Would Boston consider a trade? Would we consider trade if so what players? What’s their weakness maybe bigs?

to soon to give up on scoot, I still think he’s going to be good starter but I value old school pgs so I’d consider it

I'd definitely consider it if we don't have a PG by the time the rest of the team is built out.

Any trades right now need to bring back draft picks. We still need to add a lot of talent to this roster before we start trading for pieces to fill holes.

No thanks. Great bu guard though. Much more interested in bigger, better defending PGs.

Yeah I’m not 100% on board with the idea and it’s my idea lol. I do believe a good PG makes the game easier for other players so getting a guy like Pritchard would make guys like Sharpe and Clingan better now but would hate to give up on Scoot to soon and with deep draft probably better off waiting to see what happens.

My biggest fear is we are going to go the whole year with Scoot as bench player and not really know if he’s our PG of the future. I’d rather dive into the deep end with him as starter and know if he’s our guy.

Yeah, if we go all season without Scoot as our starting point guard we're insane. And he should definitely start all next season .

Well, I would love a 21 year old version of Jrue for our rebuild with our young guys. But not the win now version!

If Sharpe was on his way to being an allstar, and another one of our young guys looked like a very good starter I might consider it.

However since we currently have ZERO legit long term starters I think its too soon to make a move for acquiring a player like Pritchard. We'd probably have to send draft picks to the Celtics and we're just not at that phase of the rebuild yet. As others have said that was the downside of the Deni trade even if you think the value exchange was fine - it just doesn't fit with how far into the rebuild we are.

We don't know what position our eventual franchise player could be. If it's a PG that lets say we draft in June, then we'd have a major position problem of duplication on our roster just like DameCJ all over.

Pritchard is a year and a half older than Simons. So he also doesn't have the youth we might ideally want in adding a starting PG either.

I feel like we do know if Scoot is or isn't our guy - we're just wishing it was the other answer.

This is the thing I've noticed with the Ringer is they aren't big on getting, keeping and having sources. Then it's just a bunch of fans talking ball about the things they've read from actual reporters that do have sources.

So yeah these guys talk about how Jerami needs to be a teams third best guy to pay for his contract... we know this and it's why I think the Lakers are the most likely destination. I still think at the end of the day we see Jerami going to the Lakers for Rui (who we'd flip hopefully immediately) Vincent's bad contract, one of their vet min guys to make the salaries work and either their 2029 0r 2031 FRP. If we add a couple of second round picks to Rui maybe we could flip him for that second FRP our front office says they need to give up Jerami.

They talk about how Simons can't play defense and probably needs to go to a team with a defensive identity but this is after they've decided that maybe he doesn't make much sense on the Magic because Suggs can shoot a little. Jalen Suggs is the perfect back court mate for Ant. Dude is 6'5", stout, plays awesome D and can run an offense. Ant off the ball and as a secondary playmaker or even a knock down shooter who can be a playmaker in a pinch. The Magic need shot makers and Ant is a bucket. I think Ant and Delano for Cole Anthony and Anthony Black seems almost likely... I could even see us getting some draft capital back (the worse of their pick and Denver's in this draft will be a glorified second rounder).

These guys don't even really get into Rob, I think because if he's not injured Rob makes too much sense on too many teams to even start talking about likely landing spots. Lets hope Joe finds the right one that will give us a FRP.
