Hmmm, not impressed if that's the only tie-in being plain text and Blazer colors :dunno:

luxury is a huge reach for Tissot as a description.

entry level Swiss watch, sure. Luxury, nah.

id rather just have the colorway and #0 instead of the 'it's dame time' and the T+ logo.

FWIW, Dame is now #40 on the all-time NBA scoring list (45 on the combined NBA/ABA scoring list).

The three people directly ahead of him are Larry Bird first up, Gary Payton next and then Clyde Drexler.

Interesting. He'll pass all 3 of them this season, but won't catch Elgin Baylor until next year. But I see he's ~800 behind Chris Paul--I wonder if he's got any chance of catching CP3 this season.

He'll have to outscore CP3 by just over 14ppg to make up the 800 point difference. I think he'll do it. CP3 is averaging 9.6ppg so far this season and Dame is averaging 25.7. Both guys just have to keep doing what they're doing and Dame will blow by him.

I think that'll be something I'll be interested in tracking throughout the season. Perhaps I'll update it in this thread on a weekly basis or something.

Yes, currently Dame is projected to finish the season ~100 points ahead of Paul, depending on health, of course. If he plays every game, he could also pass Baylor, Wade, and Dantley.

I would think Dame misses some time at some point - kind of depends where they are in the standings though.

CP3 I would certainly expect to miss time and miss more than Dame. He hasn't played more than 70 games since 2016. They might even agree to have him sit out the last month of the season - just sort of depends on other injuries and the west playin standings.

CP3 hasn't missed a game yet this year. Dame has only missed 3 games so far. Last season Dame played 73 games - but outside that he hasn't played more than 67 games since being in his 20's, most recently in 2019.

Yep, it will be a fluid situation throughout the season, which is why it intrigues me.

Can anyone tell me what Karl Malone is mouthing every time he steps into the free throw line? That's the origin story I wanna add to my trivia bank

Someone else may remember better because that was what 30 years ago. I thought he just was rambling kind of nonsense, just different random comments. I think eventually some lip readers were hired but then he just told everyone and it was kind of irrelevant chatter.

I thought it was some kind of self affirmation talk like "I will not miss this shot" or something like that, but Idk where I read or got that info nor have I confirmed.
