National Highway Traffic Safety Administration tracks fatal accidents involving self driving vehicles. Nearly all involved Tesla. Investigators were looking into charges. Musk paid Trump $250 million. No charges and no more data being collected.

Trump's nominee for Commerce Secretary continues to lead his company while hiring people who will regulate it. Company has $80 billion in crypto currency that is suspected by feds of being linked to North Korean nuclear program, Russian arms dealers, Hamas, Mexican drug cartels and Chinese chemical companies producing precursors of fentanyl. Hard to think of a worse group of people. Investigation will end when Trump takes office.

This is what oligarchy looks like.

We get cuts to social security and privatized post office.

But transgender congresswoman won't be able to use ladies room.

“When I argued that we should freeze federal spending, I meant Social Security as well,” Joe Biden told the Senate in 1995. “I meant Medicare and Medicaid. I meant veterans’ benefits. I meant every single solitary thing in the government. And I not only tried it once, I tried it twice, I tried it a third time, and I tried it a fourth time.”

Congress worked out spending deal to keep government open until March. Elon Musk said he didn't want it. So then Trump said he didn't want it. So then Republicans don't want their own bill.

Musk said government should shut down until inauguration. No social security, military aren't paid, bills aren't paid and accrue interest. So what? Doesn't affect him.

Trump cares about his ego and his wealth. His only policy is get brown people out of the country. Musk is in charge.

Trump Calls For Abolishing Debt Limit: 'Smartest Thing' Congress Could Do
The president-elect floated the idea a day after he came out against the bipartisan spending deal to fund the government and avert a shutdown

President-elect Donald Trump said he supports abolishing the debt ceiling because it's the "smartest thing," a day after scuttling a bipartisan spending deal that would have averted a federal government shutdown in two days.

Trump informed Republican lawmakers about his opposition to the 1,500-page bill put together by House Speaker Mike Johnson after billionaire Elon Musk, whom Trump named to run a government efficiency panel, criticized it as full of Democratic giveaways.

In his Wednesday message, Trump pushed for a "clear" spending bill that increases the debt ceiling.

On Thursday, the president-elect told NBC News that he would be fine with ditching it all together, saying it would be the "smartest thing it [Congress] could do. I would support that entirely."

Rand Paul floats Elon Musk for Speaker

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) suggested Elon Musk serve as Speaker in a Thursday morning post on X following contentious debates over the continuing resolution (CR).

“The Speaker of the House need not be a member of Congress . . . ,” Paul wrote.

Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) said she would be open to supporting Musk to replace Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) in a post quoting Paul.

“I’d be open to supporting @elonmusk for Speaker of the House. DOGE can only truly be accomplished by reigning in Congress to enact real government efficiency,” Greene wrote on X.

“The establishment needs to be shattered just like it was yesterday. This could be the way,” she added.

I don't think Musk wants to be Speaker. That would constrain him by House rules. And he could be voted out. As it is he has no rules and isn't answerable to anyone.

Abolishing the debt ceiling actually would be a good thing to do. If Trump actually gets that done, that would be great.

I'm really hoping for a big raise in my Social Security checks under Trump. How else will I ever be able to afford my Trump guitar, gold basketball shoes or bible? I'm sure he can get Mexico to pay for a Social Security raise!

President Musk tax plan would increase taxes on everyone earning less than $300,000 a year. Which I am guessing is all of us. High incomes get $4 trillion in tax cuts.

Sorry, @riverman but looks like you won't be able to afford Trump sneakers, Bibles, guitar, watch, cologne....
