<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Bears | Benson to start off as No. 1 running backWed, 26 Jul 2006 17:11:55 -0700John Mullin, of the Chicago Tribune, reports Chicago Bears head coach Lovie Smith said Wednesday, July 26, RB Cedric Benson will start training camp as the team's No. 1 running back. Smith considers Benson a special back but is also mindful of RB Thomas Jones' accomplishments last season (1,335 rushing yards). Even when a starter is named, the competition will be intense.</div>

Ha! I told you he'd get hurt! It's only a matter of time before Peterson gets a shot and steals the job and becomes a star,

Apparently Brown and Urlacher purposely hurt Benson because they want Jones to start

Someone said it on another board so I guess its not a credible source but if its true the Bears may have a problem.

Yeah, it sounds like they do have some problems if that is the case, a major lack of team unity, especially between vets and rookies hahah

If they seriously were going to do something that Chilidish they deserve to go 0-16. But I doubt they would do something like that.

They probably don't want the rookie to play because Thomas proved himself last year. But yeah it is childish.

I don't believe they'd do that. And besides, Jones already is injured with a pulled hamstring.
