Well, this has been the case since June, and 6 months later this stale core is still 99.9% intact and the clock keeps ticking. At some point he'll make some moves, but it is way too late to matter for this season, and sadly I have little faith Drury is the guy to get it right for next season and beyond.

I said weeks ago they were done, I said weeks ago they are now the worst team in the NHL (maybe outside of Buffalo), and I said last week they'd lose 8 or 9 of their next 10, and they are on the verge of going 0-3 being outscored 13-3 over the first 3 games of that 10-game stretch. They are beyond bad now; they are an utter embarrassment.

Fire everybody at this point, it is that much of a joke. I don't have an issue firing the coach when it is this much of a disaster. My issue has always been in over his head afraid Drury is absolutely the main reason for this mess AND if you fire ANOTHER coach the Pres/GM also has to go. If Lav gets fired and Drury stays it is a disgrace.

Another trade likely next week.

On top this mess. This idiot Drury signs shesterkinsuck for another 8 years to be the highest paid goalie in the league. Why? What a fucking joke Drury is.

Here is the issue, Drury is too scared, afraid, and doesn't have the balls to deal a guy like Igor. I fully maintain, when you have a goalie making that much money it is very difficult to win a Cup. History shows that to be the case outside of Bob last season. Also, if your team is not good the goalie really doesn't matter, and if you have holes to fill, it is more difficult to fill those holes with a huge cap hit goalie.

Now that the team is an absolute disaster, sure Drury will make some moves because he has no choice, and it's easy now as everyone knows it needs to be done. The pressure is off in a weird way because if you F up it doesn't matter as the team is already a trainwreck. A real Pres/GM, one that isn't in over his head, scared, and afraid would have made the needed moves BEFORE the mess and before he had no choice. In many ways it was an absolute dereliction of duty to bring this team back. Maybe not everyone saw this core was done and had to be broken up after the loss to Florida, but I clearly saw it and called it out loudly, and if I could see it BEFORE the mess, Drury certainly could have and should have, it's his f'ing job.

Bottom line is, now that he has no choice and it's the only play, he'll make moves, and that's bush league and weak. If he had balls, he would have had the foresight to make the moves before the piano dropped. Real leaders are proactive, not reactive. It shows weakness and a lack of confidence to be reactive and act from a position of weakness, and that sums up Drury perfectly IMO.

Some amazing stats: The Rangers are 4-14 in their past 18 games. They are 2-8 in their past 10 games. They are 1-6 in their past 7 games. They have been outscored 25-9 in those 7 games. They are 0-3 in their past 3 games. They have been outscored 14-3 in those 3 games. Zibanejad has 2 goals in the past 18 games. Zibanejad is a -16 in those 18 games (and a -21 overall).

The whole team is a S show, but I will say how Lav hasn't scratched Zibanejad and continues to play him 17/18 mpg, and on PP1 is an absolute mystery to me. It wouldn't change the outcome given how horrific the team is, but it's still very puzzling to me why he isn't sitting down.

What mystery? This retread coach should’ve never been hired by a moron running the show. I was saying the core needed to be broken up after that disaster against the devils in the playoffs two years ago.

I shut games off in the second period now. Rangers are almost as bad as the Giants now.
