Unless a player is a real detriment to society I don't know how you go after them like that. So I can see saying Fuck Miles Bridges but saying that about Scoot who has only conducted himself with class while trying to learn how to develop his game and implement it in the league is pure trash. I'm not saying that it's just a bad take because it is a bad take but it calls into question your character.

Scoot is not a bust but he will not be Dame like either and he is going to be compared to Dame in Portland until he leaves / retires and that is too bad for him. I do not think he will be a mega star like Dame but he might turn into someone like Porter-lite was for the Blazers. If I was to predict Scoot's career stat line for the Blazers I think it's rock solid with moments of greatness but only 5 to 10 times a season

14 to 16 ppg -- 8 Assists - 1.3 Steals and 3 reb per game and that is good enough IF we can get a true Superstar next to him and the other young core.

After a year in the NBA, Little Scooter has improved from bonehead errors and near-worst-in-the-league stats...over his entire rookie year, not just the start as some say...to a guy who now is playing at least a year behind what everyone expected from a #3 pick...in any draft, not just a supposedly ultra-strong draft. I'm glad to see the chelonian, testudinal improvement.

You know. The post that started all of this was bad. Just move on. You got a bunch to contribute that is really good.
We all know Scoot had terrible moments last year and this year as well. You probably should have used different wording in that erroneous post.

Scoot is looking better recently and damned good last game. If his 3 pt shot keeps going down and he eliminates the bad turnovers, he'll be a much better pt guard

Back to back good performances for Scoot. See if he can stack a couple of more onto this when Chauncey gets back.

Sly posts under many screen names. Notice that "Denny" didn't copy & paste anything?

Scoot's "bustline" shrinking, I hope he becomes severely "flat-chested"

After hearing Oden talk and him saying what his message will be when he talks to the team, I think it could be very beneficial to Scoot...and even Sharpe. Scoot has to hear the rumblings about being a disappointment and hearing the message from one of the biggest busts ever might be exactly what he needs to hear to quash any talk of him not putting in the work. Nobody has ever said Scoot doesn't listen, let's hope that is the case when Oden is delivering the message.

Exactly. Our criticism is motivating him and accelerating his development. Just like McCollum in his first 2 years.

Playful Scooter isn't laser-focused for 48 minutes (or even 5) like young Lillard was. He's overconfident and plays half-assed, not playing scared/worried like Lillard did, putting the win on his back. He will eventually learn the game, and then the status-quoers can pretend that it's normal to wait years for someone so acclaimed to develop. A more clever coach would accelerate the process. His coach-ruining mentor, Billups, was slower than a snail to learn in the first half of his career.
