I notice a lot of you seem to be using AI image generation software for profile pictures or to post in threads. I have little to no artistic talent and have been thinking about using an AI generator for illustrations related to a book I’ve been thinking about (and kind of started) writing. Which software do you guys use, or have found produces the best images? I’m not opposed to paying for one if it’s worth it for increased image quality or accuracy. Thanks in advance!
Fonz, Microsoft paint has it built right in. just open paint and on the right you will see an option to provide a description and it will generate for you. I used it for the anime art cover for my last song i dropped “ Crazy” Ill provide more details tonight when im back on the pc.
Most of them have a free version. You can ask chatgpt or Gemini to create images, or you can ask them (or your other favorite AI alternative) to give you prompts for the images you want on specific sites. You can even ask them for suggestions about what image generator to use.
I would have to update to 365 in order to have that version of paint. Ability to use on the phone is a big plus for me.
Didn’t realize chat GPT had this. Gonna play around with it. Seems to do well to adjust prompts. Wondering how wide the range of style is though. This is actually probably perfect
I actually paid for the plus version for unlimited prompts after seeing how well it was doing by changing styles. Still haven’t spent a ton of time doing things like sending new detailed prompts vs starting out simple and trying to expand on it (which is what I was doing). It’s cool that you can change the style it draws in. For my free prompts I had it draw a skydiver, then I asked it to draw it with a hotdog (which changes the photo completely), and then in comic and cartoon style. Gonna have to see if it can save a person rather than drawing a different person every time.
You could try midjourney and have chatgpt suggest prompts... It probably has the ability to do more in the way of saving characters etc... but it's less intuitive to use.
I think going forward ChatGPT could at least be good for help in commissioning somebody to illustrate. ChatGPT doesn't work as well as I’d like, but it does produce some good images.
Is this even good? Because if I can afford to go to a Blazer game and buy a beer I can probably afford it.
I think these belong here: http://www.sportstwo.com/threads/nsfw-the-bodacious-blazer-babes-of-s2.133585/
Here I told ChatGPT “Draw a plum dunking a basketball into a basketball hoop making prune juice rain down into a glass” Here’s a fun and whimsical illustration of a plum dunking a basketball, making prune juice rain into a glass. Let me know if you’d like any tweaks or additional details! Then I told it to “draw it more seriously” Here’s a dramatic and intense depiction of a plum executing an epic dunk, with prune juice cascading into a glass below. Let me know if you’d like any further refinements!
If you really want control then you need to self host some Midjourney wrapper. I'd recommend Fooocus. Also buy yourself a hefty gaming PC lol
The problem with AI image generators is that they are so prevalent now that most online folks can spot a picture made by AI pretty quick. Sometimes that's not a problem, sometimes it is, depending on audience
I’m just saying you could at least pay a human being who does art. But I admit that would require wanting something good to come out the other side. If all you’re doing is wasting water and electricity then by all means continue.
