I would imagine that like John McCain's funeral, Trump won't attend Jimmy's funeral but send Ivanka and Jared. The guy doesn't have the dignity to share a bench with the Obama's Bush's, Clinton's and Biden's nor should he stain their company.

My biggest issue with Carter's presidency was when he tried to fix the economy by voting Taiwan out of the UN to gain favor with mainland China and their cheap labor and millions of consumers..Taiwan is still trying to get UN membership today.
Critics have it both ways. He was soft! He did too much! The CIA did Panama, Taiwan, and the Shah. The first two were in the bag during the Ford presidency. Khomeini was a spare leader. Western intelligence funds a couple for each country in case of need.
