I’ll take Carter in lieu of a first

I think they would want to keep him if they lose Fox in another year.

Wow, if that's good enough to get Cam Johnson then I'm kidding myself that the Kings would offer it for Jerami...
(Even though, for some purposes, Jerami is probably a better player than Johnson, Johnson is a WAY better rebounder and I'm sure has way more value around the league.) But I'm not convinced it IS good enough to get Cam Johnson - apparently OKC are also interested in him and they can beat any offer with their obscene warchest of picks.

Oh yeah, I missed the Ivey injured
part. But they are not contending this year so they will likely go hard tanking.

You're probably right, especially as they've offloaded all their other PGs (starting with Haliburton, but also including Davion Mitchell...

Do they have their own pick this year?

Yet they both have identical rebounding numbers for their career at 3.9

Huh, yeah I guess I thought Johnson was a lot better than he is...

Their draft pick is tied up this year, next and the year after. Protected 1-13 this upcoming draft, 1-11 in 2026 and 1-9 in 2027. I'm pretty sure that means the earliest pick they could trade will be 2029.

15 wuns so far, Toibas Harris on the team, Cade starting to come into his own. I think Trajon Langdon said something in a presser about the goal this year being to get some post season experience... so I'm not sure about the hard tank. What they do at the trade deadline will definitely be telling about which direction they're trying to go in.

Yeah, only 3 games out of a top-6 slot. Could definitely see them pushing for wins rather than losses.

I can see it honestly. If anyone is desperate it’s Sac. Either that version or I want Keegan

I miss the power forward position. Add to that list:

    Rasheed Wallace
    Brian Grant
    Kevin Garnett
    Antonio McDyess
    Amar’e Stoudamire
    Shareef Abdur-Rahim
    Elton Brand
    Carlos Boozer

Fat chance on that, Ausar from Detroit, Black from Orlando, Walker from Indy, Smith from Houston, or any of the other proposals that have been bandied about that would return us a recent lottery pick.

I can understand having one or two of these vets.

But all FIVE? As you detail none of them make sense on this roster and that's been the case since at least the day Dame was traded if not many months earlier.

Just boggles my mind how many posters here have supported these vets being on the roster as well as many of Cronins bad decisions. It was predicting stupid moves to acquire them at the time and were just seeing the predictable result playing out this season.

Garnett and Sheed would be better in today's game and great in any era. I'm not sure the others would be starters in the NBA today.

Makes me wonder what players are on the end of the bench today barely playing that would've been all-stars in the 90s
