    fucking baby

Dame was doubled and trapped for a decade in Portland and didn't whine about it like this

If you’re finding fault in how many likes you get compared to others, you should probably get rid of all your social media.

Maybe he should have and we would have kicked Stotts and CJ to the curb sooner.

Speaking of annoying players, can we finally stop whining about not trading for Jimmy Butler when we supposedly had a chance? The guy would never have lasted a year in Portland before demanding a trade.

I think he would have been pretty happy getting to play with Dame. Sounds like his issue in Miami is the same issue Dame had here. He has wanted Miami to make a move to help push them towards contention, and they've done nothing, while he watched Milwaukee get Dame, Boston be aggressive and get Jrue, Knicks go out and get OG and Mikal. And Mimi's done what? Low balled for Dame. Traded a 1st round pick for Terry Rozier.

you mean in 2018 when he was 29 and in his prime? And could have been paired with Dame?

we can't know how he would have reacted to being a Blazer and option 1b with Dame. But we do know that Olshey would not consider trading CJ for PG13 or Butler, or any star that was available

and we are seeing the results of those decisions. Dame traded and Portland a dumpster fire at about every level

Butler for Anfernee Simons (Tyler Herro), Kris Murray (Jaime Jaquez) and Duop Reath (Nikola Jovic) + 2 2nds.

There is always an excuse with Jimmy. He has not been happy anywhere he has played. He always wears out his welcome. Do you guys think that Portland would have been different? Do you think playing D alongside Dame would have pleased him? Sure...... until they lost in the playoffs.

this is his 6th season in Miami and they eventually lost in the playoffs every year

obviously, Butler as a Blazer is an alternate universe and the foundational physics of that universe is that Olshey wouldn't be the Blazer GM. So, who knows what kind of team the alternate GM would have built around Dame and Butler

Yeah, you are not swaying me. Portland is not Miami. Single professional athletes will be a bit more patient when they have the Miami nightlife. And in the end, he still butted heads with Pat Riley.

    persuaded you for what?

I'm just suggesting the Butler as Blazer track might have been much better than the CJ as Blazer track. We know how that track worked out

With all this complaining about NBA players who are jerks…. Here’s a young NBA player we can all root for. Great kid, very friendly and polite. Shared this in the game thread from last night…… just thought I’d drop it here as well. Quality guy, unlike some former Blazers some on here idolize. #FAMS!

I am saying that there is no doubt in my mind that Butler would have opted out after one year in Portland just like he did in Philly in order to go to Miami. So all the complaining from Blazer fans was pointless.

You misunderstand. I mentioned it as a measure of people's aptitude for critical thinking, not over my concern for social acceptance. It should be obvious I care little about the latter.

I'm confused - there are no NBA players in that photograph
