Being on the older side mostly doesn't prevent people from getting information. The point about being interested though - that's the key point that I've been trying to make. People should be interested. My point was just that if you can get information, so can other people. If they are interested. And what would these 'false narratives' be exactly? Why be interested? Voting for Biden just gave us Trump again. Most people didn't notice much difference. I can't convince my kids to care about climate change because they don't believe there is anything they can do. They will vote for the right policies but it won't matter. Because so many others will not. And even of they did, the policies would just be half measures that the corporations who wrote the policy dressed up as climate friendly. This is how they have been conditioned their whole lives.
What we need is a more charismatic leader to help us change things long enough that we can start educating the population. No leader is going to solve everything.
And the the US spends as much TAX MONEY per capita on healthcare as Canada spends on ALL healthcare costs (public and private) per capita. And the US gets worse outcomes... For profit health insurance needs to go away.
