If we don't throw deep to Stewart and Dak Moore with Dante next season, I'm going to be firmly on the "fire Stein" bandwagon.

It will be nice having a QB that can see over the line.

Hughes is 5'11 210 & the older brother of CB Na'eem Offord. He's averaged more carries per game then Jordan James the last two years so he's not only good sized but durable.

rivals is the most conservative of the recruiting sites in handing out 4 & 5* ratings. Thus far for the next class (2026) they only have 14 kids ranked as 5*s... they are typically up to around 30 by the end of the cycle. Of those 14 currently rated as 5*s, 4 are already verbally committed to schools including TE Kendre Harrison to Oregon, leaving 10 who are still deciding. By my count, at least 7 of those 10 hold significant Duck interest having visited or announced a planned visit. Those prospects are ranked #1, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 & 10... I'm not including #2 QB Ryder Lyons as though he's visited, the Ducks seem to have a clear preference for another QB, #4 Jared Curtis. They are also thought to have a good shot at flipping the #12 prospect WR Chris Henry Jr from tOSU

Yes--this rocket scientist has also "written" columns stating that Saban and Vrabel will be the next Patriots HC. These nicely complement other gems of his proclaiming:
    • Gleyber Torres will sign with the Mariners (he's a Tiger now),
    • Jeff Saturday will be UNC's next HC (it's Freddie Kitchens),
    • USC transfer QB Miller Moss would end up at FL St (he's at Louisville)
...among others. Doesn't even have enough meat to qualify as a nothing-burger.

Nishad Strother has run out of eligibility. Despite losing 3 guys from the DLine rotation (Burch, Harmon, Ware-Hudson) My'Kiel Gardner understood the depth chart and decided he'd rather play elsewhere then clap in Eugene. I'm really excited about seeing the young guys they have coming on the DLine + they added Bear + I've read Jamaree may stay for another year with the JuCo ruling. Best of luck to both guys!

Ducks without 3 1/2 weeks off would have beat both Notre Dame and Penn State.
Buckeyes are going to roll to a Championship.

I think so too. But I’ll definitely be rooting against them.

For some reason just looking at Ryan Day makes me cringe.

Lay off the Just For Men, guy.

Apparently Pellum was arrested for pistol whipping someone on Christmas.... explains the transfer.

A probable cause affidavit with a fugitive from justice charge filed in Lane County Circuit Court said that Ryan Tristan Chance Taylor, who is also known as Ryan Pellum and is a wide receiver for the Ducks who just entered the transfer portal, allegedly caused an injury to the victim’s head that required stitches. Taylor then allegedly fired two rounds in an unknown direction. A nationwide extraditable warrant was issued for his arrest in Long Beach, California on a charge of assault with the use of a firearm, the affidavit said.

Court documents show that Eugene police located Taylor at an apartment on Gateway Street in Springfield and observed him coming and going from the residence. Police contacted him there on Wednesday, and Taylor allegedly told police that he knew he had a warrant in California because people were calling him about it, but he didn’t elaborate further, according to court records. Taylor is not currently in the Lane County Jail as of January 10; bail was posted by an unknown person for an unknown amount on Thursday after Taylor waived extradition. Court records show that Taylor is due back in court on January 23 and California has until that date to pick Taylor up from Oregon.

Taylor had signed with the Ducks in December 2023, under the last name of Pellum, after initially committing to the University of California in Southern California. Taylor's uncle, Don Pellum, was a linebacker for the Oregon Ducks in the 1980s, and coached the Ducks for more than 20 years at the University of Oregon. He was the defensive coordinator in 2014 before going to UCLA where he was the linebackers coach until his retirement in 2022.

A spokesperson with the university said Taylor is no longer enrolled at the school and no longer a member of the Ducks.
