Ukraine has some of the best soil in the world. It was against the Ukranian constitution to sell land to foreign entities. Though that changed with the conflict, as Western powers have used it as leverage to get Ukranian farmland.

All the old power players are involved: Blackrock, Monsanto, Dupont...

I'm pretty sure the billions in "aid" we're giving to Ukraine is ultimately ending up in black book secret military projects and advanced weaponry. If the Tesla whistleblower is correct, that means there's an advanced arms race, and our current weaponry is obsolete.

Just a note for anyone interested in military technology. Ukraine made two breakthroughs this week. Shot down two russian helicopters over the Black Sea by firing missiles from a sea drone. Then yesterday launched FPV drones from a sea drone and knocked out 3 russsian anti-aircraft units. They are also working on sea drones that will be able to fire torpedoes.

Typical day in Ukraine. Ukraine strikes and oil refinery that supplies fuel for russian bombers and a military command post. russia strikes a civilian area of a large city, killing 13 and wounding 40.

Zelensky has already acknowledged that they cannot re-take Crimea and Donbass right now. He seems to be aiming to restore the pre 2022 borders which would require a substantial withdrawal by russia. Hopefully this is in sync with Trump. I believe that Walz is speaking for Trump here. They seem to understand that the West has the leverage here.
"Russian economy and his [Putin’s] military machine will dry up very quickly. This will allow Putin to sit at the table. We have leverage, such as lifting restrictions on long-range weapons [for Ukraine], — Waltz
[IMG]He added that they will put pressure on Russia by applying energy sanctions and increasing energy exports from the United States.

I will say that if USA had got F-16s, a lot more tanks and Bradleys, HIMARs and ATACMs to Ukraine immediately after Ukraine drove russia out of Kyiv in 2022, that Ukraine would have been able to re-take all occupied territories. But now there is a new reality and Zelensky again is choosing to save lives.

Marco Rubio said in so many words Ukraine will have to cede territory to Russia. Rubio used to be a hawk on Russia but he is Trump's boy and Trump is Putin's boy

Extremely impressive video, like everything Scott Ritter does. He was a major critic of the Iraq War, heroically risking assassination by intelligence agencies. I own one of his books.

He avoids the word "capitalism," but that's what the video is about. Capitalist rich conservatives have their subservient governments fight each war, to open up profit opportunities after the war ends. Nowadays to fly under the radar, one uses the word "corporate."

They will. They have lost the war by every logical metric and a deal will be made soon. I highly doubt Russia is going to simply return the territory they’ve acquired. A massive blunder by Ukraine and the western countries who exploit them. It’s Iraq/Afghanistan/Vietnam level incompetence and stupidity. We just talked someone else into doing it this time while still reaping the rewards.

It's the same for the Right. People who enjoy killing use the cover story that wars are about patriotism and perceived threats. Their real motive is that killing is a sport, and they're always up for a video game. You should consider thinking from the Left. The Left is about rich people.

By controlling the media, wealthy high levels direct primitive warmonger instincts of low-level suckers into profitable wars. It's just business. Been going on for thousands of years.

On the other side I've never heard of someone being bombed and enjoying the warmongers game or making a buck off it. I think the fun has worn off for most of the North Korean cannon fodder troops by now as well. Contractors love places like Los Angeles or Maui or Kyiv...they can build everything over again as they have for thousands of years as well. Contractors who've lost their tools, skilled workers, homes and trucks...not so much.

I can't tell whether you're agreeing or disagreeing with me. I said what rich investors do, and you said, "On the other side," regular people don't do those things. Obviously.

If side means an opposing opinion, you disagree with me. If side means the people who aren't rich, you agree. Ambiguous writing.

Soon the media will probably soon announce that the russians have taken the city of Chasiv Yar (which the russians have already bombed into ruins) and make a big deal of it. They really don't understand this war. They should be focusing on russian personnel and equipment losses every day and on the work Ukraine is doing destroying russian infrastructure needed to wage war. This guy does a great job of showing this:
