Got wifey a custom Scoot for Christmas.

 

Justed watched Chauncey talking before the game and I'm sorry... I don't think it's been this guy's ability to coach that has been the problem. I think the players have not executed even the simplest of things and he's already said a ton of times that he wants to add a lot more wrinkles into the offense and even the D but that until our guys can execute the simple things, he can't do that.

Maybe some of you think that's a bad strategy by him but listening to him just now talk about perimeter and more specifically three point defense... he's definitely telling these players the right things. I'm damn sure he doesn't have a hard time giving a walk through demo of what it looks like.

Joe has mismanaged this roster, I still don't know if Chauncey can be an elite coach because I don't know what it is he wants to implement but hasn't been able to because Joe hasn't given him a chance, not one chance ever with any roster construction that makes sense.

 

Neither of them are the problem. Trade grant and ant then you decide what you have. They’re total black holes. I don’t blame anyone else

Maybe the guys aren't doing or capable of doing what he wants, but at the same time it seems to me that players aren't used to their full potential for what they CAN do.

Why is Deandre Ayton standing still so much on offense?

Kris Murray is a 60% 2-point scorer and 29% 3-point shooter. Why are you making him take any 3-pointers at all? He looks as uncomfortable taking 3-pointers as he looks comfortable dribbling around the hoop to score inside.

Then there are times where what he says he wants isn't reflected in the lineup he puts on the floor.

He just said he wanted to put pressure on the ball. So why is Anfernee Simons in the starting lineup? Why can't he bring himself to put someone like Rayan Rupert as a defensive specialist and have Simons come off the bench?

 

Ant seems to have brought his "I don't give a fuck" attitude from the defensive end to the offensive end.

 

We look like we have no offensive plan.

 

I don't think he has a choice but to start Ant, Deandre and Jerami if they're healthy at this point of the season.

I agree that I hate guys as dynamic as Shaedon and to some extent Kris, just standing in the corner and I wish there was a lot more off the ball movement... I've just heard Chauncey say a bunch of times that he can't introduce a lot of things on offense until the team can execute more basic stuff... again, if anyone thinks that's just bad coaching I don't have an argument at this time but he is having the team run a very simple offense and they are not consistently executing it.

 

Jabari initiating the offense. Murray dribbling to within 5 feet of the basket and never even looking at the hoop.

There can't be any coaching here.

Will either of them be on the team next year?

 

I think you'll get to see plenty of Rupert tonight.
