That's relevant if your goal is, "You're either with us or against us." If your goal is finding truth, all that matters is whether what he said in the video is true or false.
I have always appreciated your weirdness, but I'm surprised you are a fan of Scott Ritter, a guy who, along with Putin, expected Ukraine to fall in three days. Do you really believe, as he does. that the Bucha massacre was committed by Ukrainian police (that is a rhetorical question, I don't want to have a discourse on this)? I suggest looking at the Wikipedia link https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scott_Ritter . As far as looking for the truth: I try really hard on my FB group page, that deals with Ukraine's struggles over the last 12 years, to present a fair picture. I talk about their failures and successes. I don't skip over problems with corruption or mistakes by government and military leaders. And yes. if you think that russia is being honest about why they are in Ukraine (or about almost anything) or has some legitimate reason to be in Ukraine, I am definitely against you. There is no grey area here.

Trump unveiled his plan to end the war which would not have started had he been president. Impose tariffs on Russia. As US does very little trade with Russia impact almost nil.
@crandc I think he is talking about more than just trade with USA. He might be thinking of blocking all tankers carrying oil from russia. And I think how he speaks may have some impact. He seems to be understanding what most of the world does not yet understand, that russia is losing. russians understand the implications of his message and it has stirred up a real hornet's nest, Here is his full statement.

He was indicted for being responsible for the downing of the Dutch airliner, later imprisoned by Putin for criticizing his handling of the war against Ukraine.
What if USA agreed to a mutual defense treaty like USA has with S Korea? then Putin could claim he won because he kept Ukraine out of NATO?
One can certainly go broke overestimating Trump's cleverness, but maybe the key to this statement is that he's going to put tariffs and sanctions on Russia "and other various participating countries". My guess is "other various participating countries" are mostly named Ukraine. And hey, if there are sanctions on Russia and Ukraine, then we can't give arms or aid to either one, right? barfo
Hopefully he means N. Korea and Iran, but who knows with Trump? He is still quoting casualty figures in the war that are way off. He still thinks russia took the main losses in WW II when it was actually Belarus, Ukraine and Moldova. He doesn't understand that the Istanbul agreement would have been giving up Ukraine's sovereignty. He understands that russia economy is suffering but not that russia has lost a lot of the territory they took in 2022 and that they are suffering more casualties every day than they can replace. Hopefully when Zelensky meets with him they can present the true picture in an easily understood format.
In one of his best videos, former Navy seal Chuck Pfarrer discusses the January 14 and 24 attacks, calling them the largest and most sophisticated in military history. His presentation is also very sophisticated, replete with video, photos, maps and graphics, as he explains the tactics necessary to get through russian air defenses. I wish Trump had the patience and inclination to view this; he would have a much better understanding of how the war is going for russia..
I say if he can return all Ukrainian land (including Crimea of course), then give him all the damned rare earth minerals that he wants.
