13pts in 14gms getting ample game time and part of the PP unit. What a difference competence makes.

There was an article on him recently where he said he coach tells him "you're going to make mistakes, but keep playing your game" and has helped his confidence tremendously.

He certainly did not get that here, and only the vets are allowed to keep making mistakes (over and over) while continuing to get rewarded with increased ice time.

Yep. Rangers are clusterfucks developing young forwards. That being said. It's ok to suck moose dick in Seattle and not make the playoffs. He's also playing with high draft pick young centers. He's a pussy with his style of play. He's not built for the playoffs. Especially in the East. 9 points in 44 playoff games is not a fluke. There is a reason for it. He has no mean streak of physical nature to his play. I hope he does well there. Good kid. No killer instinct. It's time to call Othmann up and get him going.

A 2-way 60-70pt player will help any team, though. It was a complete fuck up all around while he was here so not going to put too much into his poor numbers in the playoffs.

Sounds like a trade for Miller was really close. If this was the package, too bad Drury didn't have the ability to close it, because I think it would have been a great deal for the Rangers (assuming the first-round pick was at least top 3 protected if it was the 2025 pick):

“Rangers center Filip Chytil, defenseman Ryan Lingren, and some future-focused assets — the Rangers surprisingly scratched several Hartford Wolfpack players on Saturday, although it was unclear if it was trade-related — including a first-round pick could have been involved. One source briefed on the trade talks indicated that a disagreement on the protection structure of a first-round pick was a key hurdle.”

Seems like it will likely still find a way to happen.
