Greetings! Like I said before in different thread, my dad and I just went through the first holidays since my mom passed. I knew this was going to be difficult so to help make things a tiny bit easier for my dad we decided to take him to the Yucatan. We arrived Monday. Sounds like it was an interesting MLK day in the US. Honestly, I'm glad to be missing it. To some of you have sent me private messages, sorry if I was very brief in responding. Anyway, we landed in Merida, one of the first towns, now a city, founded by the Spanish in the new world. Just by chance it's their Rose Festival. Okay, not really a festival of roses, it's a festival celebrating the founding of the city. Every night a different event. Last night it was Meeting of the Guilds of Dancers. More than 400 dancers in regional costumes walked and danced to the main square in the heart of the city while fireworks were set off. It was beautifully spectacular. Or in Dog speak, really fucking cool! Here are a few pics from Merida's El Centro.
Oh, and don't let me forget to compliment you on your jorts. According to Buzz Feed, those just scream "Turista!".......but your dad looks like he's in a happy place. Good for you!
That's my Well-Traveled sling bag, it's not a purse damn it, lol. It's perfect for the passport the wallet, the phone, little Factor 70 sundown motion. I don't like keeping stuff in the pockets whether traveling international or in Vegas. Keep my important stuff in front of me and my hands free. If you notice I got my dad the same one, LOL.
