With the way it's going lately I have half a mind to expect Cronin to be a buyer at the deadline and mortgage more future picks for a play-in run.

    Yay.

Either our gm needs to go for not committing to our young talent or he needs to go for failing to draft guys talented enough to be committed to. But either way he needs to go!

We will likely lose every game during this upcoming home stand and the last game is on the evening after the trade deadline. Let's hope our only wins are off the court.

We'll get a lot of losses over the rest of the season but wins like these past four make it even harder to stomach the losing. You have to ask yourself what in the fuck is the management of our team thinking?

It messes with the scouting report but at the end of the day without those two players they’re scrubby as hell.

They sat those players because they want a better pick than us. And all these GM’s are laughing their way to a higher pick.

it’s just silly at this point

The post game is highlighting the only bright spot tonight. Clingan was a force of nature on defense and setting screens tonight which was really nice to see.

This roster needs.a superstar forward and a decent small ball center and it will be a contender in 3 years.

Because they get the 8th pick over the 6th pick? That will set the team back 4 years? Will our players stop all development during this 4 years as well?

Didn't watch the game...checked in to see folks reactions to winning ugly again. Four game win streak is a clear fuck you to tanking from CB who has to be sick of losing and hoping to go out with his head held high.

yup...Shaedon Sharpe is not 50 draft picks better than Toumani Camara either. I think the number 1 pick last went to the 10th seeded Hawks? Correct me if I'm wrong.

At the expense of the future of the franchise.

yeah...I don't really buy losing as a winning strategy but I understand lots of folks do. Winning is how Clingan becomes an allstar down the road.

Yes. The difference between the 5th pick and the 8th pick can be monumental.

Meanwhile we got overpaid vets who won’t even be a part of the future, fucking up the future.

I understand that gray area isn’t really an approach you understand

This is the last year I’m on the losing purposely train. This also happens to be the most loaded draft in a decade.

Which is why where we land organically should get us a great player in the draft...being worst doesn't guarantee Cooper Flagg anymore..it's ping pong balls that determine the prize now like Keno in Vegas

I'm excited to see Cooper Flagg come off the bench behind Jerami Grant.

The odds are better. This draft has much more than Cooper Flagg. We are one more young star away from having a team that could really become something.

This is Portland where it’s imperative that you build through the draft. I’d hate to screw up the possibility of that just because Simon’s or Grant who aren’t going to be there to see us prosper.

Unfortunately the NBA is setup to where a win that doesn’t elevate us to the playoffs is just a hamper to the organization.

Being stuck between shitty and good is a recipe to be stuck in that position for years to come
