Yeah he's under contract for this season and the next three after because of an extension he signed.

Why I suggested Bones Hyland instead.

I don't think Reath will fetch anything more than a fake second. The only reason there is buzz is because his salary is so low that any team could basically trade for him and only offer a top 55 protected 2nd. Basically how we acquired Banton. If he's not included in another deal I would be surprised if he fetched more than that.

Ant is less of an issue than Ayton since his contract expires the same time but is cheaper.

I'm less concerned with value from any of these irrelevant vets - and most worried we'll be stuck with paying Grant until 2028.

I can't see why any team would want to pay a declining 30+ year old PF $160 million who's shooting 38% on 2pt and pulling down 3 rpg.

All the Cronin fanboys here seem to think he still has positive trade value. Hope I'm wrong, we'll see.

You left our the worst part - were sitting in the back half of the lottery with an epically strong draft after getting 3rd for an epically weak draft. We can't even tank properly.

Yeah he looked good last year but has been irrelevant this season.

It's funny that if we tried to flip Ant for Norm we'd have to include FRP(s)

Heard for so long from the Cronin lovers how the Blazers had to dump Norm so the Blazers would then be able to use all that salary room for better players.

We used all that salary space on GP2, Ant, Nurk, Ayton, Grant, Thybulle

Literally every single one of them is worse than Norm.

Meanwhile Eric Bledsoe and Didi are STILL on our salary cap this season.

What’s funny we got lucky jumping to third…you’re acting like we had the 3rd best odds.

but none of your posts really make sense so

I would not mind keeping Mann. He has a decent contract.
Bones is 6'2" 169 lbs and is decent but Mann is 6'5 (ish) 215. He would be a good bench player.

Who exactly are the Cronin lovers?

I haven't seen anyone make that claim. The theory was that he was told to get the team under the luxury tax. Nobody that I know of thinks that salary cap space is ever really a benefit for us.

Last year we had the 3rd fewest wins in the league. Yeah we lost a coin flip and a couple teams jumped us pushing us to 7th.

We're currently slotted to pick #8 or 9 so a teams jump us or we get some wins and we may be picking 12th.

Maybe you enjoy Grant Ant Ayton vets. I'd much rather be getting a stud rookie next year.

All the delusional fans celebrating that stupid Clippers trade as well as many of the worthless moves this franchise has made recently.

Pretty sure the trade was widely panned. I don't think anyone loved it. Who loved it?

How often does the worst team get the best pick? You can’t make you’re own luck.

The worst team is guaranteed a top 5 pick. Do that 4 or 5 years in a row and, if you're decently smart with your picks and how you trade away any vets you had before the rebuild, you'll have a loaded roster with a chance to contend.

Regardless of what management team you have you'll have a far better future than a team with the same luck and same management who picked outside the top 5 those years.

It's not making your own luck. It's just following the math.

Actually, I like that lineup. Still have Deni & Camara, our two best players. You’re exaggerating that Scoot and Clingan would foul out in the first half. Scoot averages 2.7 fouls per game. Clingan has never fouled out.

Scoot and Clingan aren’t usually in foul trouble.
