There is no such thing as the sin of empathy. For him to say that, and to instruct others to hate her, is the only sin between his actions/words and hers.

Senator Tillis told Hegseth sister in law if she went on the record with his drinking and abuse of women he would join Collins and Murkowski in voting no.
Tillis was the 50th vote in favor, creating a tie for Vance to break

Nice to see the Social Justice Catholics speaking up and defying the insanity, rather than enabling it like the Conservatives Catholics (talking about the Extreme Court and JD Vance) who have come roaring out of nowhere with some delusion of moral authority over the rest of us. Absolutely NOTHING worse than a conservative Catholic.....unless it is an evangelical (so called) "Christian".................

A GOP lawmaker is defending Trump by describing poor kids as freeloaders

"McCormick responded with the head-spinning suggestion that the country’s child labor laws are too restrictive and that plenty of kids are freeloaders who ought to work for their lunch.
'Who can actually go and actually produce their own income? Who can actually go out there and do something that makes them have value and work skills for the future?' McCormick queried. He added that getting kids to work for their lunch would induce them to think “about their future instead of thinking about how they’re going to sponge off the government when they don’t need to.”

If you need free school breakfast, well, you should just go down to McDonalds and get a job. Oh, you're only 8?

I hate mixing politics and religion, but in this case there's no real way around it. Here's one quote from the link Sly posted:

"In her sermon, Budde cited a Bible verse commonly used in left-wing arguments, that "We are to be merciful to the stranger." To understand this verse, we must understand the word stranger in its full meaning, as taken from the original Hebrew language.
This particular Hebrew word is specifically used to describe a foreigner who fully submits to the customs and culture of their country of refuge. Illegal aliens are not submitting to the laws of the land–they’re defying them."

In that Rep. Brecheen seems to be saying that Jesus only offers mercy to those who "are submitting to the laws of the land", he's clearly not presenting the biblical Jesus. There are multiple accounts of mercy being offered to people who violated the "law of the land". He tells those who would stone a woman to death for the sin of adultery that he who is without sin should throw the first stone. Perhaps Rep. Brecheen should try explaining Jesus's final act of forgiveness before dying on the cross. There, a convicted criminal is granted salvation for admitting that while he and the other thief deserve their sentence, Jesus is innocent. He asks that Jesus remember him when he comes into his kingdom. Jesus promises him salvation. Clearly, mercy is not to be limited to only those that MAGA deem worthy.

Yeah, the faux Christians just omit those parts of the Bible that talk of kindness and mercy.

They only use the parts that suit their political stances.

    Sickening.

We see the same thing with how the right wing SC judges and others have been "interpreting" the Constitution... conveniently ignoring the parts that don't benefit them.

Yet another pardoned insurrectionist. Convicted in fatal DWI after driving wrong way on highway and striking another vehicle head on, killing one person, seriously injuring another. Her blood alcohol and astonishing 0.20, three times legal limit in Missouri. Her lawyer suggested 120 days and probation. Judge wasn't buying.

    Trump can't pardon this one.

She should have not been pardoned to begin with. Would have saved a life.

Michigan State cancelled Lunar New Year celebration because they are afraid it falls under diversity. Celebrated by billions of people.
