I wonder if this will open the door for more trades or will everybody spend the next 6 days in shock

Would they really want DA though? I just don't see it. He's too expensive. They'd need to send so much out to make it match. And why would we do it? Just let DA expire.

Danny just read the headline and assumed Luka asked out.

I think it'll open the floodgates. Probably fringe moves for us like trading Thybulle or Duop Reath

I mean, the Mavs did get a 2025 all star in the deal. The Lakers didn't even get a 2025 all star back in the trade.

When Shams carried water for Golden State about GP2 and Toradol, it doesn’t mean he lied. But when he did not clearly do a mea culpa with the correction, he showed he is pretty lame.

So, in this case, Danny Marang may have assumed, or took bad info, or … I don’t know. But like with Shams, I won’t assume he lied until some intell shakes free.

Yeah, I assume he was guessing that must have been the reason because there is no other way to wrap one head around it.

This is what I want to see us do at the trade deadline. These are three separate trades just grouped together so all three can be seen. It's Rob and Duop to the Rockets for Whitmore and Green. It's Ant and Dalano to the Magic for Anthony Black, Cole Anthony and Denver's 2025 FRP. It's Jerami to the Bucks for Middleton and the Bucks 2031 FRP.

Danny Marang va Marc Stein on a national story? Seriously? If it’s ont the favorite meal of any Blazers I go with Marang. But on this, no chance.

There is a very negative way this Doncic trade might affect other trades. If Doncic is only worth one pick, what does that do to other players worth pick wise?

Is Jerami now worth only a second?

I would trade Jerami for a second, in a second! Anything to jettison that contract!

I don't think the Doncic trade will b a gauge for anything because it was so far from any norms

meanwhile, I don't believe the values of Grant-Ant-Ayton-Timelord has altered in any appreciable way. Certainly haven't gone up generically. Might be a situational increase in value based upon another team's desperation. Like the Lakers and Timelord and even that is doubtful

the problem could be that Cronin was too proud of the roster he assembled and the recent hot streak may have convinced him to stand pat. I have been thinking for months that he was unwilling to move Grant-Simons-Ayton-Timelord unless he got that fantasy no-brainer offer that no other GM would even consider

That trade is shit, yes. But that assumes Davis isn't worth anything if Luka "is only worth one pick"

I don’t believe a single word I hear from modern Blazers media, they’re all the equivalent of scrubs with minimal “sources” or even knowledge. The modern 1080 group has to actually be a joke.

The Mavs say they are not done. Unfortunately, I see no path for them to trade for Grant without including PJ Washington's salary. Otherwise, they would need to send us 4 players and that would not make sense for them to do. PJ is only 26 and on a good contract.
