We just won against the Phoenix Suns.

In the decisive moments of 4/4 and in overtime our last 3 lottery picks Scoot, Shaedon and Clingan were sitting on the bench.

So, what's the verdict and the direction here?

Simons/Grant/Ayton are our big three and we plan on being competitive with them?

Scoot/Shaedon/Clingan were three consecutives draft mistakes?

    Where are we going?

People enjoy winning without looking at the big picture

We are at risk of this scenario 1 year from now:

    - Flagg, Bailey and company play in other franchises
    - Simons, Grant and Ayton have little to no value and we must unload them
    - Scoot, Shaedon and Clingan are purgatory material

It's the same situation that happened after Aldridge left

We should have tank and instead we won with Lillard, CJ, Aminu, Harkless and Plumlee and we condamned ourselves to years of purgatory

I would argue that right now our big three is Scoot/Deni/Ayton. Those three guys are playing fantastic.

Avdija best case scenario is.... prime Batum?

Prime Batum in our big plan was the fourth option after Roy, Oden and Aldridge

I don't think so. I think the best case scenario for Avdija is a bigger Ginobili who can go left and right. Deni can be an all star, not a superstar but definitely a guy getting 22, 7 and 7 while being a strong defender on a contender.

At no point in his career did Nico have the aggression that Deni does. It's a big difference maker.

I think Deni can be better than Batum. He could be an All Star. Not perennial. But he could sneak in there a couple times.

If Sharpe and Scoot aren't going to be as good or better than that we're never going to sniff a title.

Unless Ayton becomes a new person for a season. Maybe he'll grow up?

Fuck this franchise. Fuck Billups. Fuck Cronin and Jody for not somehow having The Conductor playing and developing our future. Meaningless wins where Grant, Ayton and Simons are playing 40 plus minutes is completely bat shit crazy to me. Sharpe getting 19 minutes? Clingan getting 10? Make it make sense.

Now if this team wins out, makes the playoffs and wins a title, then you’ll never hear me bitch about these fucktards again

I respect that you love purgatory so much. It’s inspiring.

Grant and Ayton are high level players just waiting to become All Stars given the right team and culture and everyone just wants to get rid of them. It's the most stupid thing in the world. You don't always have to be trying to look for something shiny and new and hoping that it's going to be Michael Jordan.

IT WASN'T LONG AGO THAT FANS WOULD BE OUT OF THEIR MINDS HAPPY TO HAVE AYTON OR GRANT ON THE TEAM.

SUCH A BRAIN DEAD AND BACKWARDS PHILOSOPHY. OH NO! WE ARE WINNING! OH NO, I WANT TO LOSE AND WE NEED A GOOD TEAM. DID YOU EVER STOP TO THINK THAT MAYBE WE HAVE A GOOD TEAM?

What’s brain dead is trotting out the same players that have proven they can’t win consistently and thinking things are going well.

We both want the same thing, just a difference of opinion on how to achieve it. No reason for name calling.

We have an average team at best with a shitty head coach at this point in his career.

Honestly not sure what world you're living in where you think Jerami Grant at 30 years old is going to magically turn into an all star for the first time in his career. Ayton I can somewhat understand your line of thinking as the guy shows flashes of greatness but it's just a mirage, he does this just long enough to make you believe it's really in there only for him to make it disappear just as soon as you think he's turned a corner.

They don’t want the same thing. Some of us want to see the team win a title and understand that you can’t achieve that without the right ingredients.

Some people just want to see the team win some games. They’re happy as a pig in shit and really don’t care if we ever get back to the finals.

Your thinking along the right lines....

Although I wouldn't say they don't care if we ever get to the finals.

More like they have a thousand dollars in their pocket today and care 10x more about getting the best thing they can spend it on right now. Some of us are fine getting nothing at all today - as we would rather invest it in a startup that might make us millions in the long run.

Dude. The team sucks, there's no reason to get that worked up about a bad team thinking they are good.

They suck. Objectively. A 10 game stretch doesn't change the longer term goal which this 10 game stretch completely fucks.

But it's funny watching people think this team is good. They aren't yet. Still 2 years away and we have a shitty front office so probably longer.

Well, there is no rush, as every player on this team is actually growing. From the youngest to the oldest, they are actually learning to play a style of team basketball many of them have yet to experience. So, no need to rush, let it play out, and see what it is. Draft pick? Not so important in this moment. Over the next two years, while being competitive, Toumani get's his 3 point shooting to 40%, Scoot is a 20/5/10 guy, Shaedon is at 25/4/3, Deni 22/7/5, and we'll see about the center position. Sounds good to me
