He reminds me of Shaun Livingston who was sensational before injury and still really good after injury.

Livingston was good, but hardly sensational. I think there is a mythology about pre-injury Livingston due to him being a bit of a unicorn as a 6'7 PG and the brutal nature of his injury along with the feel-good nature of his comeback

in the 3 seasons before the injury he averaged 7.4 points, 4.8 assists and 2.6 rebounds. He had a PER under 12.0, a TS mark under 48%, and a negative BPM. He entered the league at 19 so he had good upside, but his numbers left a lot to be desired

Thompson had a nice air-ball 3-point attempt which did at least hit the backboard , near the end of the Knicks - Rockets game.

Thompson also turned the ball over at a critical time and pretty much sealed their defeat.

27.2 seconds left [IMG] Amen Thompson lost ball turnover (Jalen Brunson steals) Score: 116 118

I really don’t want to root against the kid, but some posters are forcing me into that corner.

one guy just turned 22; the other just turned 21. I think the age difference is way too exaggerated. Amen has played 108 NBA games; Scoot has played 105. Amen has started 42 games; Scoot has started 40. Scoot has actually played more minutes than Amen

a big difference is that since Christmas, Amen has been starting and hasn't played less than 30 minutes in any game and has played 36 minutes or more in 13 of the last 18 games; and more than 40 minutes 8 times. That's the kind of open runway that Scoot won't get as long as Chauncey and Simons are around

    Aint that gods honest truth.

I don't get the weird obsession with players that the team didn't draft, or didn't trade for.

Comparing Amens stats to Scoots is kinda dumb (esp since we need shooting and that's actually something Scoot has started to provide).

Compare his stats to Deni or Tou, players that he would be playing the same position as.

I think this year they play the rookies and then that winners plays one of the 3 allstar groups. Would love to see them both shut down some allstars who think they can just coast.

I'm actually really excited for the new format.

Being a non-shooter is less important when he has the ball in his hands all the time. I'm convinced people here haven't seen him play. No one respects his shot and he's still getting to the rim at will. Giannis lite.
