Me too. But if you trade for Cam and don't move Grant, he won't be getting much run.

Williams makes 4M and the Lakers need a C; Grant makes 30M and is not a need....nuff said

Didn't we have the same issue last year at the trade deadline? And the same issue in the offseason?

Seems most fans here support moving on from Grant/Ant. But as Wiz said... Cronin clearly has not acted that way for many years.

So I'm not sure why anyone would expect the status quo to change.

He's told us for a year and a half that he needs to clear the runway for Scoot and Shae so he probably agrees with us.

But he's just not getting it done. Maybe the Vulcans ain't letting it happen. I don't know.

Not to mention we have a guy now who I think could be pretty good if he got regular minutes behind our guards.

    His name is Denalo Banton.

I think people are complaining because it looks like that was indeed necessary, and failing to do so has cost us a lot this season and it's becoming obvious that it's probably not going to change and may continue costing us moving forward.

I'd love to see how this team would perform with Ant and Grant coming off the bench.

He says a lot of things. Actions speak louder than words.

He said he was committed to building a winner around Dame, would be aggressive, and he'd go all in. He never did any of those things.

Not that I think it was wrong to rebuild vs trying to win with Dame. But we shouldn't put stock into any words Cronin says. His actions have shown he has some bizarre infatuation with this Ant/Grant/Ayton trio even if that is to the detriment of our Scoot/Sharpe future.

No. We don't have any set of players or available draft picks to get a player of that caliber.

That too, but since that's clearly not going to happen, moving them to reserve status would be the next best thing.

Agreed. It’ll never happen due to player expectations and their paychecks, but it absolutely would be the best chance at putting a quality product on the floor each night - while enhancing our bench potential. Plus, if they do their isotrash, just throw em back to the bench.

You mean we can't just get stars handed to us like the Lakers and Warriors.

A week ago I would have agreed.

But now - can we hire Nico Harrision and Rob Palinka as consultants? One of them clearly would tell us that value.

I mean I'd think Sam Presti would never agree to any of those ideas - but he did trade a 22 year old James Harden who was in the finals for scraps.

While I like Whitmore, I just don’t see where he would fit unless we got rid of Grant. I wonder if HOU would trade Jabari instead…

JG + RWill (and maybe a pick swap) for Jabari Smith Jr, Adams, Londale, and Jeff Green works. We would of course have to waive half of them.
