No thanks. No defense, not reliable enough. We need much better than that.

This appears to be the plan. Time to just enjoy the ride when we can, understanding we're not actually trying to compete.

We'd still almost certainly wind up out of the top 5.

If we'd traded Grant for a first last summer and traded Simons for whatever we could get we'd almost certainly be getting a top 5 pick (assuming your scenario of tanking post trade deadline is still used).

    Absolute disaster.

Cause I was pissed. Explained that already. And “knew” is pushing it a bit. I’m not in the damn room

Do you know if it was because we didn't try (like this is the team Joe wants?) or because the offers weren't sweet enough?

Shaedon and Scoot both do a lot of very entertaining things on offense. Tou is so much fun to watch on defense. Deni is a lot of fun to watch in the secondary break. The games aren't going to be bad to watch... and hey maybe every guy I just mentioned really pops and we have a team full of all stars. Who knows? Doesn't seem like the most likely thing but unlikely things happen all of the time.

As far as being a fan of the team it's a bit of a kick in the pants though.

Thunder tanked super hard - but it was only 2 years.

This year would be 4. I'm not sure the process 6ers even did it longer than that.

Sounds like I’m in the minority but I’m okay with no moves. The team seems to be buying into Chauncey and gelling with each other. The recent lottery picks may not be starting most nights but that doesn’t mean they’re not contributing and they seem to be improving before our eyes.

Only move I thought needed to happen was trading Ant. Scoot and Sharpe need to be starting

I'm not certain about that - as the rest of our team has played way better than expected this season and Grant/Ant haven't been too good.

That would've been fine though to get some wins with our youth leading the way. Pointless to get them with this Grant/Ant/Ayton trio that has no long term future here.

Yeah I'm ok with it right now at this moment if we continue to try and win the rest of this year.

If we flip to tanking in the next 5 games then standing pat as well as everything we've done the last year makes no sense.

Yeah, Ant was the only move that seemed to be extremely necessary. I don't like the fact that Jerami will be a year older next season and his contract is increasing in salary... so I thought this would be the time to move away from him as well. Then there's Rob and when Rob is on the court wow is he great but his career seems like it is always hanging on by a thread because of his injury history so I really wanted him moved now, while healthy to a team that needs him for wins in a deep playoff run this season.

So I was disappointed most that Ant wasn't traded for the reasons you mentioned but Chauncey's found a way to have Jerami take PT away from Scoot and Shae as well by starting a three forward lineup. Seriously, it was a discouraging day to see us stick with the two timeline thing. Yeah, it just isn't a smart move. There had to be intriguing prospects out there that we could have got for these three guys, if good draft capital wasn't being offered. I just think Joe and maybe controlled by our non-ownership group, really dropped the ball... again.

    Agreed. Pointless with Any/Grant//Ayton

I think we'd have lost a lot more early than we did this season, and shutting it down post all star break would not allow us enough time to really get rolling.

But if we won 30 games by that time you'd just have to deal with it and be happy the young guns are that good.

Don’t know. Heard Joe wanted to move some people, but Bert wants to try to make playoffs

I left out that when its 12-3 and I'm in my car i will listen to the podcast of Dirt and Sprague on audacy app. That's how I do all my listening. Anytime after 3 I listen to primetime.

I just left out how I listened. My bad.

Dusty is great but Danny is the worst thing this side of Dwight Jaynes.
