I think the democrats should aggressively start promoting and campaigning for 2028. Someone younger representing the people with policies and appeal to the middle. A new voice that can be consistently heard scrutinizing trumps actions but with a positive message that resonates. It's going to take somewhat of a populist message thjatn will water down anything trump does.
Right now there really doesn't seem to be anyone on the horizon. Neither Newsome of Shiff is it....or even close to it. Maybe Shapiro? Ironically, the only one I could get enthusiastically behind at the moment is Adam Kinzinger. And despite his courage and ethics, he's still a Republican.......
The top got too fat and greedy. This is the folly of all empires. The biggest enemies are within our borders, not out.
They've got to find the right person and the right message. They have to make changes themselves and focus on the people or this shit will remain the same. That is if the Republicans haven't found a way to fix the elections in the swing states already. If that's the case, we may never see a Dem as President again.
I think it's too early to anoint a front runner. (And BTW Newsom and Schiff) I do think Michigan governor Gretchen Whitmer is in the mix. See who emerges as a leader over the next couple of years.
All of us have at times been unkind. Done things we regret. Operative word being regret. Most of us don't want to do things that hurt others. Especially people who have done us no harm. These people do want to hurt others. Seems to be the one thing that makes them happy.
Pain is the French word for bread so maybe someone thought you want them to eat bread. The focaccia I made today looks really good.
I am not now, nor have I ever been, Hakeem Jeffries. I think there may be a large difference between Jeffries speaking to a group of 150 potential donors, and Trump asking Elon to take a machete to the federal workforce. So, apparently voting for Jill Stein doesn't make the democrats move further left after all. Who could have ever predicted that? barfo
I don't think so, unless laws are changed to eliminate voting as a real mechanism for choosing the next president. Not enough people like Trump for him to pick. They'll have to pick somebody popular with the people. None of Trump's kids are popular enough.
