I mean if we actually didn't get one more win... I think it'd be 5. I think Toronto will win 8 more games this season... they aren't that great at the tank. We would pass Brooklyn, Chicago and Philly too. That being said, if we were pulling the plug on winning we would have made trades. Rob would be being seen by some other team's medical staff. Ant would probably be learning to play as a microwave instead of a first option. Jerami would probably still be here but maybe even he'd be gone.

Nah, we're headed for pick 11 or pick 12. We'll miss the play-ins. Ant and Jerami will probably be one and two in shot attempts post all star break. It's bleak but I think it's our inescapable reality this season. Stopped the tank to soon and I don't give anyone in our organization from the top to the coaching staff credit enough to have the emotional and intellectual dexterity to know when to or even how to pivot.

I don’t think so. Some of these upcoming months look fucking brutal. We will lose games and they will shut it down once the playin becomes basically impossible.

Portland won't be the only team shutting down though, and gauging by the season so far, they may be the last tanker shutting down. 11 of the 29 games left are against teams above them in lottery seeding, and 2 other games are against the Spurs & Hawks. Blazers are currently 9th and it's probable they are more likely to slip into 10th or 11th, than climb to 8th or 9th

    7th has a 32% chance at top-4
    8th a 26.2% chance
    9th a 19.2% chance
    10th a 13.9% chance
    11th a 9.4% chance
    12th a 7.2% chance

Scoot/Shae. That's why it was important to move Ant, so we can see what they can do. We'll have to wait at least until next season or when they decide to sit Ant.
