Perhaps the Blazers should have taken the chance?

Taylor argument was they didnt pay on time, while it might be technically true it was a few days late courts normally decide that doesn't cancel the agreement as Taylor tried to argue. Each side had their own arbitrator that argued their case and a neutral arbitrator casts the deciding vote. The neutral arbitrator voted in favor of ARod/Lore so even though Taylor is trying to argue its "2-1" that effectively is a 1-0 decision against him as the arbitrator he appoints is always going to vote in his favor.

The NBA is not going to want to set a precedent of a buyer not allowed to complete the purchase as that would hurt all NBA franchise resale value as prospective buyers would become more hesitant. So NBA owners will give final approval at some point. Courts are also not going to overturn an arbitrator.

Just a matter of when not if the NBA approves - Taylor has lost.

Its also ludicrous as many of the stars in the NBA weren't even high lottery picks.

Jokic, Giannis, SGA, Brunson, Jimmy Butler, Draymond, etc

Then you have guys like Ayton and Bagley drafted #1/#2

Yeah then we could have Brandon Ingram fill that role of backing up Jerami Grant.

The Charlotte Hornets are in contact with the NBA as they look for options to dispute the Lakers failed physical.

    No.
Ingram at $40M/yr is worse than Grant at $30M/yr.

Yup, Ingran is Grant plus 25% in both skill and cost so the value is poor either way

He's played the last 4 years in Sacramento and logged a massive 1483 minutes. Over 4 seasons of games that comes out to a 4.5 minute average per game. Such a huge addition!

Crazy halftime score. The Blazers will have to work hard to out-tank the Bulls.

    upload_2025-2-11_18-9-10.png

If you are wondering what the largest halftime lead was:

    December 27, 2020

    77-27

The Clippers trailed Dallas 77-27 at halftime, with their 50-point deficit being the largest at the break in the shot-clock era, which began in 1954-55.
