Every title Horry won wouldn’t have been won without him.

    Giannis/Middleton without Jrue: 0 titles
    Tatum/Brown without Jrue: 0 titles

Jrue is believed to be one of the best defenders in the league. Defense wins championships.

We’re wasting this much time talking about Robert Freaking Horry? Man, the All-Star break is too long. Can’t wait to get back to debating how many losses the Blazers can get to.

We heard for years from fans here how Dame was a top NBA superstar in Portland and the main reason he couldn't contend was never having a fellow allstar teammate. Well now he has an MVP level teammates and the excuses are the supporting cast isn't good enough. Bucks today have the same wins as the Pistons who had the worst record in the NBA last year.

When one of your top two players is a short poor defensive PG that can be trapped as well as on a supermax contract its just extremely difficult if not impossible to build a contending roster around that archetype of player.

Dame is certainly better as a #1 offensive option than Jrue. But in terms of who can help a team win a title? There is a reason the whole NBA was eager to trade for Jrue from us but hardly any teams wanted to trade for Dame. Way more NBA teams could make a trade for Jrue with his salary today and be a contender. It's extremely difficult if not impossible to build such a roster around Lillard.

I'm just glad Cronin was able to flip these two and get 4 nice assets.

He is a great player, but not just on defense, he had some good offensive games against Phoenix as well in the finals. (Giannis was huge in that series with a 50 pt game)

Boston has some pretty good shooters so he complements them nicely. Defense is important.....50% of the time. You need offense as well to win championships.

You didn’t watch then. The amount of clutch shots and dominating quarters is staggering. Ask Shaq, Hakeem, and Duncan.
