<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Brian Dawkins wants to play his entire career with the Eagles and the team wants Dawkins to stay. And for two more seasons after this one, Dawkins will be where he wants. The Eagles announced on Sunday that Dawkins has agreed to terms on a two-year contract extension, removing any doubt about the star safety's future here.News broke a few weeks ago that the Eagles had approached Dawkins about a contract extension, and Dawkins confirmed that information early in training camp. But the story faded into the background as camp intensified, although the Eagles and Dawkins continued to talk. Here to stay: Dawkins agrees to two-year extensionDawkins continues an impressive run for the Eagles. They've signed offensive guard Shawn Andrews, center Jamaal Jackson and now Dawkins since June.Dawkins was always a priority. He has been a stellar piece of the defensive backfield since 1996 when he joined the team as a second-round draft choice. Here is Dawkins' transcript from a pre-game interview on Sunday evening:On the contract: "It is nice to get this out of the way and it's time to get the season going. I'm looking forward to being here another two years. It's a good thing for me, absolutely, and for the organization."On the importance of signing in Canton, Ohio: "Hopefully, that will be the culmination of my career, when it's all said and done, I'll be here. For me, just to get the deal done is a big thing. Even though this is a special place because of all the greatness here, just getting the deal done is a big thing for me."On remaining in Philadelphia: "It means a lot. I started my career here, I made a great connection with these fans, something that not a lot of players can say. And to make a connection in this city like I have been able to do is not an easy task. I have enjoyed my time here and I'm glad it has not ended yet."On what he still has to accomplish in Philadelphia: "There are a lot of things personally that I want to accomplish, but that big ring on that finger - we still haven't gotten that yet. The place I want to get it is right here in Philly. That's not a clich?, it's not a feel-good story, that's the truth. I want to get it here in Philadelphia before I leave."</div>http://www.philadelphiaeagles.com/homeNews...il.jsp?id=52654

If they Eagles have any major hopes of success in the near future, this guy needs to be on the field for them.
