Great actor. I didn’t realize he was already 95 years old. Circumstances raise questions as he, his wife and his dog were all found dead. It’s still being investigated.

    RIP

Just saw that. Could be carbon monoxide or something like that, hoping it's not something nefarious. RIP

He was great as Little Bill in Unforgiven.

    RIP

Yes, it does sound like something like Carbon Monoxide poisoning.

What an amazing actor and a storied career from The French Connection, to The Poseidon Adventure, to his run as Lex Luthor in the Superman movies, to Hoosiers, to Unforgiven and on an on. I grew up watching all his movies.

I saw his picture last year on his last public outing and saw how frail he looked. Knowing he was 95, I knew he wouldn't be around too much longer, but sad to see him go.

RIP to him and his wife and dog. Does sound like carbon monoxide poisoning.

    Wasn't Carbon Monoxide.

Looks like he was in the mud room. She was found in the bathroom with pills scattered with the dog. Seems he died suddenly, then she took pills to join him. The dog probably ate some of the pills too.

Two other dogs in the house were found alive. No signs of Carbon Monoxide or gas leak. They had been deceased for awhile.

The cat killed all of them. They're evil like that.

She had to had known at some point her 95 year old husband would pass.

Hard to imagine that was her plan all along.

Not saying it was her plan all along. Loss can be devastating. Could have been in the moment.

Who knows. Just going off what they discovered so far.

Just seems to be the most logical order of action under the circumstances.

    Could be a bit different.

If she went first. Maybe she had a heart ailment and was going for some heart pills and didn't make it. The dog swallows some and dies.

Hackman an old dude is left walking around not understanding what's up before he collapses in the mud room or suffers a fall and dies there.

There are a few scenarios that work. We won't know until they investigate further which it really was.

The cat kept the other two dogs alive? So she/he could blame it on them?

A few more pieces of information have been shared.

Dog was in a closet in the bathroom near the wife.

Hackman does appear to have collapsed suddenly in the mud room.

If the closet was door was open the dog likely ingested some of the medicine or if it was loses probably died of thirst. Poor dog.

It's possible Hackman and his wife died not knowing the other died. They just both happened to have medical emergencies the same day unrelated and passed. What's the odds of that?

It looks like maybe she passed first which makes this a bit more bizarre
