He damn well should be. If he's not, then i am joining the "Cronin is an idiot" crowd.

Obviously I don’t think he should be back, but I have a feeling neither he nor Joe will be back.

The problem is that I have no idea how much of Joe's performance is Joe and how much of it is Bert.

Really? That would explain this insane decision making. They are both working to justify their jobs here.

They don't think they have time to wait for the young guns...

I think Bud would be a great..... assistant coach. Great tactician. But if he gets fired by Phoenix that will make it 3 teams that he has been let go from. Talk about a re-tread

it's pretty strange. As a HC he has a better winning percentage than:

    Chuck Daly
    George Karl
    Doc Rivers
    Rick Adelman
    Eric Spoelstra
    Tom Thibedeaux
    Jeff Van Gundy
    Michael Malone
    Stan Van Gundy
    Mike D'Antoni
    Quinn Snyder
    Brad Stevens
    Larry Brown
    Rick Carlisle

I think Billups has done a good job with what he has. I believe the Blazers were the first in the league to surpass their Vegas pre-season expected number of wins this year. Hope they give him a chance to build on it.

The knock on him is that he can be ridged...and he loves a lot of 3s

"One of Budenholzer’s key philosophies is the emphasis on volume three-point shooting. This strategy is not just a preference; it’s a belief system. Under his guidance, teams are encouraged to let it fly from deep, and the Suns will be no exception. He’s already signaled his intent to get the whole team on board with this approach."

We have 20 games remaining. 12 games look tough and 8 games should be wins. If Grant, Ayton and Williams get back within the next 5-7 games, I think we have a real shot at winning 12 of the last 20 [40 wins!] And Billups gets extended three year extension with year 5 team option (assuming he’s coaching next season).

This Summer we draft two players and make trades for talent. Simons stays, but Grant, Thybulle and Williams are traded along with Rupert, Jabari Walker as fillers. We hang onto our (#1) draft picks however we have many second round picks and I could a few of these sent out as sweetners when trading Grant, Williams, Thybulle.

i’m very impressed with the 2025 Blazers. Really playing aggressive defense, and players coming into their own (Scoot for one).

Say, can we draft young Carmello yet?

I’m torn I hate Billups rotation and dependence on Grant and Ant but love his defense philosophy and noticed offensive sets are much better especially out of timeouts (usually good indicator of good coach). I’m also concerned about starting over with new coach.

if they decide to keep Ant and not trade him I’ve got to think Sharpe and Scoot may be unhappy going into next year. No reason they shouldn’t be starters next year!

If we got rid of Joe what would that even mean for the roster, isn’t this team supposed to be his vision. Why would Joe go before new ownership? Btw when the fuck will that happen?
