New York Times reports DOGE web site took down its "greatest hits" when they turned out to be wildly exaggerated or nonexistent.

    • An $8 billion cut in Immigration and Customs Enforcement was actually $8 million, off by a factor of 1000
    • $655 million cut in Agency for International Development was actually $18 million counted multiple times
    • $232 million cut at Social Security was actually $560,000. In federal budge, that's pocket change.
    • $1.9 billion cut at Treasury Department actually took place during Biden Administration
    • $49 billion in various cuts were programs that President Musk cancelled but funds had already been disbursed

I just read that National Parks will likely be closing with the cuts to the forest service.

When they all get reinstated there should be a national day for it.

    Fuck this administration.

With these cuts to the Forest Service, who is Trump going to get to rake the national forests?

Tesla will get a $300B contract to make autonomous forest raking vehicles.

Tesla is already working on the humanoid robots to do all household chores. If they can do that they can certainly "rake forests" as well as a person...

I've always thought running livestock through forest would be a better solution for forest management. Or just bring back predator species to run large game through the forests...

I think Musk would be more likely to go with a cheaper solution. Use the “illegals” and give them a name more appealing to the MAGA base reflecting making maximum return on resource lands:

    State
    Lumber
    Area
    Value
    Extractors.

Maybe they need to look at Trump's golfing Trips. Already $18 million in taxpayers money in just first two months.

During his first term it cost a total of $151 million in taxpayer money. At the rate he's golfing during this term, he will surpass $300 million in taxpayers money.
