I work for a university and let me tell you the admin has been shitting itself over the "Dear Colleagues" letter from the Department of Education that, in theory, should've kicked in Feb 28th (removing Federal Funding if we don't get rid of all traces of "DEI" by then). I don't find this one half as worrying - I think it's to draw attention away from the crashing stock market. I mean, I guess it will be worrying if the literal 1st Amendment has vanished, but I don't think we're there just yet. What's the next thing to threaten universities with removal of federal funds for? Not changing their names to Trump University? I wanna see him do it to see what happens. I will say this: I shall be very disappointed in our nation's youth if there aren't massive protests because of this just to say fuck you.
