    Billups has them vastly improved so I wouldn’t be shocked if they stuck with him

    It's becoming increasing unlikely we fire him - if we finish the season strong, it's hard to argue that he outperformed expectations.

    Billups has lost enough games as a head coach on behalf of Portland.
    Get into the lottery, get lucky, trade Ant, Grant, Ayton and Thybulle.
    Bring in Adelman from Minnesota or Hurley from UCONN or …

    If the Blazers were to get a new coach they'd likely have to give him a multi year deal.

    I expect the Blazers would prefer to just pay Billups 1 year. Also would save the cost of doing a coaching search.
