Got a top prospect and a first for Nelson. About time that dumbass woke up.

The key is Lou finally said we need to be sellers instead of pretending they are good enough to win. Getting a good prospect, a 1st, and a 3rd for Nelson is a nice haul.

The Avs also making a push after dealing Rant, adding Nelson after adding Lindgren and Vesey.

With all these teams building up, it's yet another reason Drury should be bold today and sell off in what very clearly appears to be a seller's market. I think he can trade Kreider for example. Be bold and creative Chris.

I was just reading a few articles calling it clearly a seller's market. Drury has got to take advantage of this today. Give up on the nonsense of this season and prepare the team for next season.

Look at some of the teams loading up already, others will follow to keep up. Not only does it make it even more unlikely the Rangers can make a run, that was never happening anyway, but it should set them up to sell and get solid returns as more moves are made to load up for long runs.

    Get something done Drury.

I don't know if you can win a SC with Wedgewood/Blackwood but we'll see.

McKinnon is the best player in the league now. McDavid like so many dumbass male athletes is pussy whipped now and has slipped. He's not even the best player on this team any longer. Colorado is stacked now. Nelson is a perfect fit for them.

Osgood won 2 cups and that guy sucks as a goalie.

Surprised to see Brady Tkachuck on the verge of tears talking about Norris being traded to Buffalo.

2:20 and Drury as quiet as a church mouse. We'll see if he does anything before 3, or he decided to check the easy boxes by trading the UFA's, and then do nothing. That's the worst path he could pick, but he is who he is, and it is what it is at this point.

Sounds like Carolina dealing Rant to the Stars for a couple of 1sts, a couple of 3rds, and Stankoven, and he'll sign long-term for 8-years around $12M per. At least the Canes won't be left with nothing again like they were last season with Guentzel.

I think our limited draft capital is now really hindering any impactful trades. Only one 1st left and not a deep prospect pool. Weren't giving up Perreault and likely not Othmann for now either. That probably killed anything with Peterka if they were really that into him. Kinda hamstrung for now. Maybe in the summer they can concoct something but for now it's ride with this motley crew.

By the way Norris was Tkachuk’s best friend so this is setting up for a Tkachuk trade next year. I have no doubt they would want Cuylle back in the deal. Can’t do that. Counter productive. Lafreniere, Roobroeck and Sykora. I don’t think they will have much leverage to trade to Tkachuk because he will dictate where he wants to go and I believe he will want to go to the Rangers.

Roobroeck has a chance to be a really good NHL player. Roobroeck 6’7, Edstrom 6’7, Rempe 6’8. Freakin nightmare to deal with. I can’t believe Beauvillier brought back a second round pick that guy sucks. Carrick should bring back a first lol.

Well, we only got a 3rd for Smith despite it being a seller's market and despite a guy like Beau bringing back a 2nd rounder.

But hey, 2nd and 5th round picks for 3rd pair dman Soucy isn't that bad of a trade, right. Maybe it makes more sense when you try and put that 3rd pair dman on the 1st pair next season, that will do the trick.

I wouldn't be shocked if Tkachuk ends up in Florida with his sibling.

That, to me, is the most likely destination should he not sign a long term deal with Ottawa.

They don’t have the players to trade for Tkachuk. I would think the Rangers will be high in his list centered around a Lafreniere deal. Or I could see Utah. They have a shit load of young talented prospects they could give up.
