Cats are far too intelligent to work at McDonald's.

New studies show cats arrived in China 1400 years ago, centuries earlier than previously thought. Cats were brought to China via Silk Road trading routes. They were treated as exotic pets only available to elites and valued for their beauty and mystery.

Up this morning, stumble to bathroom for usual tooth brushing etc. Lashanna digging under bath mat. She has often engaged in deadly combat with bath mat but this time there was, something? Find glasses. Cat playing with lizard. I close her in overnight so she must have brought it home earlier and hid it under rug all night? Put lizard in garden. Lashanna very upset. Loud meowing while tossing mat around trying to find missing toy.

Antigay book banning group Million Moms has gone after ... Fresh Step cat litter.

    Yes, you read that correctly.

Fresh Step has a commercial that says "every cat acts like their [bleep] doesn't stink." In place of the word "shit" they insert a meow.

Apparently children are irreparably harmed by learning that cats shit.

I feel like buying Fresh Step except I never use scented litter.

Yesterday was National Cat Lady Day. Lashanna did not bring me flowers. Or a dead bird. I'm hurt.

Maybe she didn't bring you a dead bird BECAUSE it was national cat lady day?

Also. Is there a national cat mans day? If not, I am reporting this sexist bs to my congressman.

Lashanna developed a weird habit. She only wants to drink water from bathtub ledge.

Started accidentally when I splashed water on the ledge and she lapped it up. No problem, my bathroom is clean and all the water in the house is the same. But even though she has indoor and outdoor water dispensers she insists on the bathtub ledge. She follows me into the bathroom and stands on the ledge meowing until I pour a little water out onto it. I don't know if water tastes better from porcelain or if it's just a cat's way of getting her faithful servant to do for her.

Lashanna unplugged my Roku in the middle of the game. Does she no longer like basketball?

Many strays on my street. I put a bag of cat food in my pocket during my walk. Looking for little calico. I like calicos and she is so thin. When I saw her I set out some food. But there was an orange and a gray, both also thin. Set out food for them

My next walk, the calico, the orange, the gray and a fourth cat all lined up.

You know I love Lashanna but... Out all day. Get home, she comes running in all excited. Not to see me but because of lizard she brought home. Put lizard outside. Went into bedroom to change clothes, hairball on floor.

I bet right now, somewhere in the world, someone is trying to teach a cat to read.

Cats have superb night vision and can track rapid movement of small insects. But cats are naturally far sighted. To read they would need corrective lenses to enable close vision.

Cats all gather when they see/hear/scent me coming. Usually I feed them on return trip. This morning they were all lined up when I headed out so fed them. Including a tuxedo cat I hadn't seen before. On my return the calico, orange, and gray all waiting. I already fed you, greedy little beasts! Fed them again. Need to buy more cat food.

I think calico, orange and gray are litter mates. They all hang together. Calico has to have a black/gray parent and an orange parent so makes sense she has orange and gray sibs.

Does your cat know you're seeing other cats?

I had a dog that if she would smell other dogs on me she would get so hurt. It was hilarious. "You... you... YOU'VE BEEN SEEING OTHER DOGS?!?"
