A funny show with like the silhouette of two fictional characters that would criticize sci fi movies??
MST3k was off the air more than 25 years ago. The new seasons really suck, but you can watch most of the original series at the gizmoplex.com (it was, at one time, free to join...maybe it still is?) You can watch one of their best episodes, Final Sacrifice, on YouTube also.
A lot of it is on Shout Factory’s YouTube. Outlaw of Gor, Manos Hands of Fate, and Beginning of the End are favorites of mine. Rifftrax is a sequel series that doesn’t have the silhouettes but the same actors as the later seasons of MST3K. They do a bunch of movies. ROTOR, Double Dragon, and Cool As Ice are faves.
Some of the humor doesn’t hold up (the Mike era has a lot of casually transphobic jokes) but on the whole if you get the right kind of inebriated, it’s still funny as hell.
Thats when I was introduced to them too. I remember going to school the next day and trying to describe it to friends.
