    Quick signed a one-year extension for $1.55M. That means he'll play at least until he's 40.

    A little surprising, as I figured they'd see Garand as fully ready for that now, but I guess they want to give Quick one last go round.

    Yeah what a surprise. another vet they’re bending over for. I don’t want to hate on quick but god forbid they will develop another young goalie who would be much cheaper than Igor.

    Garand should be a good trade piece in a few years if they decide to keep Shest longer term.

    I would agree, but I wouldn't wait a few years, I would deal Garand this summer if he has value. You know Igor and Quick are the tandem next season, so why hold onto him, that a Rangers special. I don't see what can be gained from that, and I would argue his value would decrease as time goes on. Deal him this summer.
